It's great that we now "real" conformation from Harry that it is going to happen but even then, why could he not just say "we are in the market etc, we are always looking to improve the squad/team etc, when we have some news we'll announce it etc, I don't like to discuss player transfers".

Instead of "Levy is dealing with it, Levy does all of that, Levy just let's me know, Levy, Levy fucking Levy"! Yes Harry, we all know, if it goes right you're great, if it goes wrong then it's down to Daniel, we get it mate!

This deal feels like when you copy stuff from a USB to your PC and the process is really slow at first, then it speeds up during the middle very fast, but then ends up slowing down again towards the end when there's a little bit left to go.

I can't understand why were not trying to make it a permanent deal.

Could be some sell-on clause in his contract which would mean Arsenal would get more money if he's sold before a certain date.

I think we can all agree that we wouldn't want that to happen.

Because we can't pay him £170,000 a week. City aren't going to subsidise his wages for a 4-5 year contract with us. I would assume we're hoping that he comes, plays well, enjoys his time here and is then willing to take a pay cut to join us permanently.

0900: FOOTBALL - Tottenham's assistant manager Kevin Bond tells BBC Radio 5 live that Luka Modric is not for sale and could be fit for Monday's trip to Manchester United. He also says he expects striker Emmanuel Adebayor to join the club and replace Robbie Keane. "It seems like that's more than speculation," Bond said. "From what I can gather I think we're trying to do the deal. It looks like he's [Adebayor] going to come in and replace Robbie Keane, and it would strengthen our squad if it's able to be done."

Let me be the first to say welcome to north London Ade when and if you sign.

Welcome back to North London, technically speaking. Well, welcome back but this time to the good bit where we're not bitter, silent little nomads with zero moral fibre.

Agree totally.

He's really gonna have to have love it to take such a colossal pay cut though...

The better he does this season (and in turn the better we do in the league) then the smaller the cut he'll have to take will be - extra incentive right there!

I know Ade has a mercanacry rep but if you look at the interview he did with the beeb I do get the impression that he'd be happy playing at a club that gave him a good wages and that showed him respect and a bit of love. He seems a bit emotional fragile when it comes to the fans (Arsenal) or the coach (City) losing faith/patience with him.

Let's face it whatever money we offer him he's not exactly going to go hungry. I think being at the right club will count for a lot for him.

Doesnt look like this will be done in time for the Man U game which is a shame, altho he prob isnt match fit yet anyway.
