Playing for Tottenham Hotspur since 2011/12 and coming from a very up and down experience for London side, Togolese international striker Emmanuel Adebayor (30), currently on a deal with them until June 2015, is getting more and more likely to leave on a full basis, with AC Milan management back thinking about him. Former Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal will however have to reduce his very high current annual fee (amounting to about 8 million pounds at the time) if he wants to join Italian club for a brand new professional adventure.

I'm wondering if AC are thinking, "Juve did well with Llorente upfront, we need a target man like him."

Few snippets of Sabatini (AS Roma) being in London to discuss the sales of Ljacic, Destro and Benatia. Importantly, though, there is talk of him looking at Adebayor as an option at striker, if Destro goes, along with Eto'o and Bony.

If Roma need to bring in money, going for Adebayor with his wages is not the way to go :ROFLMAO:

I can't see us offloading our one proven goalscorer in the hope that Soldado, Kane and a striker completely new to the league will do the job.

Unless we're bringing in Bony, I'd totally agree.

And I'd doubt that. Our attention is rightly elsewhere.

I can only see it happening if Ade doesn't get along with yet another manager. As you said though, he's the only striker we have that we can rely on for goals, even if he is erratic in his performances at times. Kane is a good youngster with a bit of everything about him, but he's not going to get high figures. Soldado, as much as I do think he can contribute, has not proven to be the goalscorer he was back in Spain.

The problem is we cant rely on Ade for goals, the season before last he managed 5 in the PL, even less than Soldado's 6 last season and that from a player familiar with the team and even more familiar with the PL

I don't see us getting rid of any of our strikers this summer, I think Ade only has a year left and being on wages that would stop anyone offering a fee I imagine Levy will just let his contract run down. Should we get another striker I would imagine Kane might go on loan to a lower PL club rather than anyone permanently moving

Ade seems very happy in the videos and pictures I've seen recently, would be surprised if there was anything in him going.

I have mixed feelings about Ade.

On the one hand he's been our best striker since we've had him, but on the other he is unbelievably inconsistent and for me nowhere near the standard of the strikers that the clubs above us have at their disposal.

Unfortunately we played our hand with Soldado, and he has failed to impress under two separate managers, and seemingly isn't in the immediate plans of a third, so I think we'll have to make do with Ade for now.

Can't see us spending big on a striker this Summer unless we are able to sell Soldado for a significant fee.

I have to respectfully disagree. He is inconsistent for sure but overall I consider him a better striker than Giroud and a more complete player than Lukaku. Until Chelsea signed Costa he was better than all of their strikers by some distance.

Ade's record for us is 33 goals in 80 games. Only Rooney, RVP, Aguero and Sturridge have comparable scoring records in recent seasons.

EDIT- he was getting 1 in every 2 games pretty much for the Scum and man city as well

Yeah but he had a habit of getting dropped from the team when he hit poor form, which makes those stats look better. Of course even playing badly he could grab a goal or two but Rooney, RVP and Aguero for example tend to always play when they are fit because they are consistent goalscorers, because Ade isn't he's dropped for a time when he hits a poor bit of form
