Sorry just posted the same topic mods pls merge. As I was saying I'm pretty interested to see how far the scope of this investigation is and if it would delve deeper into English Football Corruption.

Sacked in the morning, he's getting sacked in the morning...

Hard to argue with his comments about Hodgson, Neville or the players mentality though.

Turning to his employers, the FA, he said: “They’re all about making money aren’t they? You know the FA’s the richest football association in the world?”

He then qualified his statement by saying the FA had the biggest turnover, but were not the richest, because “they stupidly spent £870 million on Wembley, so they are still paying that debt off”.

He said England’s home stadium was “fabulous”, but went on: “If they’d built it anywhere else, it would have cost about 400 million… most of the money the FA make will go to the interest on the debt”.

Those kind of comments will be the end of him.

Quite a lot of his comments I agree with, it's just whether the 3rd party ownership stuff is merely pointing out a loophole, or advocating something illegal.

Set up perfectly for Harry to swoop in for the job, I wouldn't be surprised if this was filmed from a hidden camera in his shirt button or something.

But he's correct on this point, except his description of Wembley as "fantastic"

Allerdyce has always been a little bit naughty I think he has been fully caught this time. I think we have almost a denial over here about Corruption as though it's something we don't do. But it's always been prevalent. We mock the Italians and Spanish but would love to see the lid come off once and for all.

They could do with looking at other things too. There's match fixing throughout Europe. Surely the authorities can't be arrogant enough to think that it doesn't happen at some level here. I'm not talking about throwing matches but the finer details. The telegraph say they are looking into players betting on games involving their own teams for instance. I mean that's well dodgy.

It's actually pretty tame tbh. If this is the worst of it he might be alright.

There's nothing there really. If you go around secretly filming people and offering them ridiculous amounts money for some advice, you could get anyone saying something they'd rather not be made public.

Not sure there's anything there which is worthy of the sack. Depends if the paper are just drip feeding it out into the open though.

Not aimed at you but I've seen countless people on this forum moaning about third party ownership and how it should be banned and I'm sure in England it has been banned and UEFA was banning it in Europe but now our England manager is assisting a group of businessmen circumvent the rules for a small fee. It's completely corrupt.

How did he assist them? He said it was still possible, and that was pretty much it.
