Hello various fellow Tottenham Hotspur supporters. Just wondering if anyone watched this game tonight, and if so how the Spurs players did? Danke :)

One of the worst displays I've seen from our U21s for ages

They were outclassed in almost every area by a very skillful French team who made England look very average for most of the game

England looked tired especially Millner who frequently has been our best player as did Derbyshire and we lacked ideas and energy levels compared to the French

Hudd started and played fairly well throughout

Campbell and then O'Hara came on too late and should have both started IMO - Psycho's team selection was poor for this game

Dervitte had a very solid game and impressed me

DD did tres bien ce soir

the French gave les anglais a footballing lesson, and while dervite didn't get too many name checks from the commentator -the defence was solid and he was a key part of it

campbell came on quite late - ran around a bit and looks fit for Sat should we need him

Considering ligue 1 and the eredivisie as well are not held in high regard they don't half produce some talent. The French were outstanding tonight, technically on a different planet to England. Full of power and pace but their ability on the ball was amazing. Sissoko in central midfield was immense

That's the thing though, France and Holland are reknowned for producing great young players but unfortunately due to the fact their leagues aren't perhaps as financially strong they struggle to hold on to them.

Anyway cheers guys, sounds like Dervite had a good game again, really hope he makes it!

French and Dutch leagues are exporters of players whilst our league is very much in the importing business, stands to reason that we will be at a disadvantage when it comes to producing home grown talent as a result.
