Crap England left winger? he's been one of the best players so far and indeed just proved it then with the ball over the top for bridge.

His performance in this game doesn't make him any less crap. Wayne Bridge is looking good at the moment for god's sake.

It's their celebration of 100 years of football, so I think it's a pretty good gesture.

fair enough, at least there is a reason, and not because we needed someone to play  lets just hope there next 100 years is more of an improvment than there last 100

i think Woodgate has touched the ball so far as much as barry and Gerrard, and maybe even Beckham!!

No but it means he's standout. Plus Downing has been excellent all season. I really do not get the criticism he gets all the time yet people cream over Bentley & they're arguably similar players.

Anybody else think Ashton's having a bit of a stinker?

He looks ordinary - because he is very ordinary.

Annoyingly he's nowhere near as good a Bent, it's just unfortunate that Keane & Berbatov were so good this season, otherwise Benty could've been having a field day with this defence.

It's an insult to Sheringham when they compare him to Ashton.

Here's hoping Thudd gets on the pitch.

so now it will be silly sub time!

can see James, Ferdinand, Beckham, Gerrard, Barry and Ashton all coming off, or they would be the oens i would do anyway!

just hope Hudd comes on, and Woodgate stays on, not had to do much, but done well at what he has done so far

Why? I hope they both stay largely uninvolved so avoiding injury in possibly the most pointless game of all time.

This is how Ledley got crippled so I think our lot are better off out of it.

well some people also support England (not me!), and may want Hudd to make a point to get selected for future England sides

confidence, if they both do well here it may give them more hope of getting into the england squad more offten which means they will then have to up there game (well Woodgate is fucking amazing anyway) and play better for us

it is a pointless game to us, but if you had the chance to play for england even against a poor side, it would be a huge thing and would give the players a big lift at doing so

Yeah I support England and if it was a proper game then I'd want to see the Spurs players doing well. But in a pointless game like this nobody is going to prove anything and on a pitch like that they could easily get injured.

It's just a pointless waste of time.

Oh well...here comes Joe Hart and David Bentley...hopefully our boys soon
