Good win but need to do a lot better against France - thats not even a step up thats like a whole flight of stairs.
It will be a step up, but it's not like teams haven't caused them problems this world cup. Playing England will be a huge step up for them also.

i hope Bellingham doesn't go to Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Utd, i really don't want to have to hate him.
I hope he goes to Madrid and is brilliant there.

It's about time England had a huge player who wins CLs and develops an elite mentality.

Kane boiling piss over the nation

I think he's had a pretty excellent tournament so far. Really involved in all that is good about our play and instrumental in the build up for a our first goal today. He is so much more than a forward for us and I feel like only now are England fans getting to see "our" Harry Kane.

A West Ham-supporting mate of mine, during tonight’s game, said on a WhatsApp group that Kane has been our best player (along with Bellingham) in this tournament.

He’s one of my most objective mates but even then I was surprised he saw past the whole “hasn’t scored in three” bollocks.

It takes a special type of idiot to claim Kane isn’t a great footballer. These twats they interview on BBC and ITV saying he should be dropped, just like people said during the Euros group stage. Tossers, the lot of them.

1 goal and 3 assists and involved in all our best play! He’s our best player and whilst I am hugely biased I still stand by he’s the best in the world.

most goals for England in tournaments, will break Rooneys record and that is just phenomenal..he’s played 41 games less than Rooney, 27 less than Charlton and 1 less than lineker. Of the top five only Greavsie played less.

That's a horrible auto-correct!

Yes he has played in the players who have got the assists for a lot of the other goals too. Assisting the assists.

I thought this before and have been meaning to say it but I'll share this opinion now

Jude Bellingham is the final part of the Southgate jigsaw.

It's clear that Southgate is an ultra cautious manager and I think he has constantly struggled to find balance.

Bellingham allows him to play a pretty defensive 433 but gives us that crucial attacking drive and dynamism we usually lack.

I don't think Southgate was ever really comfortable playing a Madison or Foden in the hole so as England fans were really lucky this kid has come along and offers the balance we have lacked.

I'm not sure we beat France as they're a top team but England have finally found a good formation that should please everyone.

Bellingham is amazing by the way. What a player.

I’m starting to believe, we can beat France on Saturday!!

honestly though, I bet they are just as worried as us about the match

It's a 50/50 shootout

Both teams full of top players but both have weakness'.

Hopefully it's our time.

it’s probably been Kane’s best tournament for England, and given that he was top scorer in 2018 and captained them to a final in 21 that’s quite impressive.

France lost to Tunisia and their defence has been shown to be wobbly. It’ll be a game of the midfield: Tchouameni and Rabiot are playing well but I’d be more concerned if it was Pogba/Kante. People can say they’ll be tough but we’ve scored more goals than anyone and kept three clean sheets in a row: they’ve got stars that can turn a game, so do we. I’m excited.

They can be got at, especially with our pace and sharpness up top. I reckon we score at least on Saturday and I wouldn't put it past Harry to at least equal the record v his mate Hugo.
