Yeah that's a bit of a lose-lose for the keeper when the penalty taker does that stutter. If it gets saved, it's probably retaken. If it goes in, it's a goal.

Typical France game really. Not so bothered about being team-centric, tactically sound, any really ident to their work without the ball.... they just back their outstanding depth of individual talent available to outgun the opposition, and it usually does.

I'm not saying we'd 100% win it, but we have conceded two goals prior to tonight, one of which was a debatable penalty. France can be got at defensively and we have in form attackers. Plus I'm interested in seeing Walker v Mbappe as Walker may be the only one able to keep up should it come to it. We may well lose, however being "battered" I doubt it.

Have to beat Senegal first, though.

Agree fully with this.

That said, Lloris needs to be better at not going over the line. He was over also for the 2nd penalty had he saved that as well, and he did the same against Tielemans this season (with the same outcome).
