I don't know what circles you move in. But I have a huge extended family of Spurs fans and lots of Spurs mates. I don't know a single one of them who was happy about getting Mourinho. Everyone was worried about his style of football and that he would be a terrible fit at Spurs in general.

You know what, whoever might be at blame for the mess we are in, I don't think you can say it's the fault of our supporters.
My view when we sacked Poch and hired Mourinho has not changed, manager matters little if those above him continue to fuck up, knew Mourinho was destined to failure due to how things went with the dozen before him. not sure how many managers we need to go through before fans stop acting the way ENIC think of them... listen to ENICs words on fans they effectively think we’re dumbasses that don’t know what’s best for us so no need for consultation on things such as Stratford or ESL...

I also said in the final January of Poch that we had to spend big that summer and I’d be critical of Levy if we didn’t. But we did.

I’m rarely upset by the short term. If we play well then games can upset me obviously. But when we play badly I can be detached too.

What I’m interested in is the long term and we’ve always been moving in the right direction. Foundations well and truly set - nowhere to hide.

And I’ll be transparent again. If we don’t get in a manager with a front foot playing style then I’ll be disappointed and I’ll be critical. If we don’t spend big again after 6 months of people in the stadium then I’ll be critical too.

We may going in the right direction finances wise but we are going in the opposite direction in terms of the squad and have been for quite some time. That is quite an important distinction given we are a football club and not an investment company after all.

My fear is that by the time they do invest it will be too late, Kane and others will be gone and we will be stuck in this endless cycle of underachieving.

Why do you think the 6th richest club in England deserved trophies?

Too little too late after zero investment and very poor recruitment over the previous 5 or so years. As I recall you were one of the happy clappers defending their decision not to buy any players (completely unprecedented) over two transfer windows. We are now reaping the inevitable 'rewards' of that lack of investment/ambition.

Its almost like Enic pay people to post on forums to tell them its raining as they piss on them.

The facts are Enic haven't spent a single penny of their own money on Spurs since the initial 20m outlay. Levys wages alone have has at least twice that back.

We have become a joke of a club under them. A literal laughing stock that even Norwich fans can snigger at.

Bar Harry Kane being born a yid they have achieved nothing.

Let me borrow 500m and I will provide a stadium. And it won't have a joke of American football that put the build back 2 years and cost an extra 359 million to boot.

Every big call levy has made is wrong. That's actual hindsight. He is a Jonah.

A bald midget that fucks things up at every turn.

Leave the stadium empty till these fools get the message. It's the only way.

To be fair you’re very reasonable and I can understand your fears. I’m not going to argue with that.

All I would say is that success is not cyclical but we are trending in the right direction. The stadium was a money pit and Covid has knocked us (and everyone) hard. But when the stadium fills we’ll have big money to spend and if we get the next manager right we’ll be looking more positive this time next year.

Im an optimist and I respect the good work levy has done in challenging conditions (even if he fucked up big time with Mourinho - massive mistake).

If you can just please wait another couple of decades ;)
But that is what some are trying to say late 2020s that is almost 10 fucking years what are these people on.
Football won't wait around for us to dither about, this needs addressing immediately can't believe how soft some of the fans are.

Sorry - how quickly do you think success comes to a mid table club not doped by oligarchs or countries ?

You do realise we were not always a mid table club? The 90's were something of an anomaly (although were briefly relegated in the 70's) and were a result of criminal mismanagement mostly by Irving Scholar and to a lesser extent Alan Sugar. We have always been one of the better supported and wealthiest clubs in the country, this narrative that ENIC somehow rescued us from obscurity is absolute bollocks.

They have got themselves a very tidy little investment so hurrah for them but have given us very little success on the pitch and currently have us going very much in the wrong direction.

Been hearing future’s bright for years, be nice to get there at some point but some on here would have to blame the tea lady before dear dan or joe, if only she had fucking put two sugars in we wouldn’t be here today...

They must be on the payroll because the future is certainly not bright.

Spot on. Football fans are always impatient but I’m proud of our owners and we’re moving in the right direction.

I know that’s not fashionable in the dark recesses of the internet and I’ll be negged again but it’s true.

Nothing about this fan base is impatient that's just an absurd point

You’ve made two decades of mistakes too mate so I don’t really understand ?

How can you look at the club now and when they took over and not appreciate the massive growth we’ve seen. We played a champions league final not long ago but everyone is acting like we’ve gone back to 1997

So our growth over the past two decades was inevitable? I don’t share that view. I think we’ve had great leadership and would have had even greater rewards were it not for City and Chelsea being pumped full of cash.
