It's telling that he offered a huge sum, but they didn't even respond to him.

Anyway, ENIC... not doing too bad a job.

Yep. Interesting in Levy's statement that he doesn't give off an air of the CL being imperative and also sounding like next season is a new start. Over to them isn't it really, let's hope for a good summer.

He's pulled his neck in a bit, and I think we're doing better for it.

The signs are initially encouraging but before we pass judgement let's wait to see what investment in players really means this summer, with or without CL.....

The results will be very interesting. The headlines will all be about match day revenue and just how much more the stadium generates through food and beverages, and the value of getting fans in earlier and staying longer. I'd love to know what the average spend is on here for those that attend week in week out.

The CL final season though, we had good revenue through Wembley and the new stadium, plus also earned £90M from the CL run, so doubt we'll be anywhere near that season.

I think we were £360m last season with no match day. So add match day we are already at £480m which is more than CL final season. Our commercial has gone up a lot even before the events.

Are they?
Levy acted quickly to address the Mourinho and Nuno issues by bringing in Conte, and giving FP sufficient funds to bring in some pretty decent players (immediately criticised by many on here as useless). Those actions have got us to a point where we have at least some chance of CL football next year. Why would he then decide not to back Conte fully? How about waiting a while and seeing what transpires before criticising him? I'm hoping that we qualify for the CL and that with appropriate purchases establish us a a top four team playing exciting football and think that a better stance than being negative, even if only for my outlook on life!
COYS!!!!
All for the positivity .. let’s see if we lose out on any deals or players for the sake of a few million . Eg Sissoko over mane

As frustrating as that seemed at the time:
Our wage structure has been very carefully managed. Breaking that for Mane could have upset the status quo, resulting in a situation where we have to offer better deals to most the senior squad or face a frenzy of transfer requests and expiring contracts.
We ended up needing a CM more than a winger, due to Wanyama's knee injury. Mane would not have been able to fill in there, so signing him instead of Sissoko may actually have cost us CL qualification.
Mane's best position is LWF, where we already had (and still have) Son. Son was reportedly unhappy in London at the time, but settled the following season and started to shine.

Although obviously I’d be delighted to get to CL. Financially unless you get to semi or final it’s nowhere near the game changer people make out. United went out in groups and made £63m we have a lower coefficient so might make even less if we don’t reach last 16. Frankfurt made £20m so far reaching Europa final we’d make more as bigger TV pool and better coefficient maybe £30m +. So the difference between a poor display in CL and good displays in EL can be as little as £25/30m. Although obviously there’s other commercial benefits.

According to football transfers we have the third highest matchday revenue

Any other sources to confirm this

I think that's probably a guess or wrong for the new stadium, simply because we haven't been in there for a complete season yet with fans. Swiss Ramble did a guesstimate so it could be from there but he caveated it with something like my sentence before this one.

Plus of course, although strictly not match day income but stadium income, those clubs won't have the extra funds generated by the other events we hold at the stadium which has an unknown amount of income on top of that. Who knows how much money we make from a year of the NFL/concerts/rugby at the stadium and food and drink on top of that. We'll only find that out when the new accounts are out in April next year.

Sorry for the boring answer!

Not boring, just wanted some extra clarification which you gave, read we have about 5/6th highest T/O , getting close to Chelsea, considerably greater than Arsenal. Wondering if we will really see that in this T/W

We don't know the figures yet, but it's pretty clear the stadium is a revenue-generating juggernaut. It is exactly the engine of success we needed and the only way we will ever compete at the very highest level, barring a freak season.

To my mind, ENIC has done its bit and it's done it well. Now it's over to the football people seemingly led by Paratici to invest the money and deliver. If we avoid buying turkeys like Ndombele then silverware and success are inevitable at some point.

This was the plan. The building blocks are in place. From here on it in it's time to enjoy the fruits of our suffering.

We made £51.2M in UEFA prize money the last time we were in the CL (2020 first knockout round - last 16). That excludes TV money and match day revenue.

I think so I’m terms of the wages we can offer. I saw someone once call the stadium as us financially doping but within FFP rules because of the income it produces. I quite like thinking of it as legally cheating the system.

Or just building a club/business in absolutely the right way

It really is make or break time for ENICs legacy, there has been a lot of flack given to them (me included), but if they play this right now they could easily become one of the great owners in modern football.

All depends on whether they allow the off pitch success to translate to the pitch, GBP wise

It has been rumoured our match day will be £120m. That was figure price of football guy quoted. I suppose it’s fluid depending if cup games are included and obviously CL. But definitely will be biggest in England some of the hospitality packages are bonkers like £30k

I don't think it's make or break time for ENIC's legacy at all. I think you've got that wrong.

ENIC's legacy is fixed, in physical form. They have built it, literally. The money tap has been turned on and from here on in what will determine our success is the decisions the football people make.

Obviously, Paratici will be given funds this window and the next. That much is clear. It's how he and Conte spend it that's important going forward. ENIC has done its duty and can step back.

Oh nice! So if we stick to just the revenue from home Premiership games alone, this means that in just one season Daniel Levy will sign us approximately 15 Mbappe's??
