Why are we the only club that positions our fans in the nosebleeds so we can show off all that lovely advertising still?? And then not coming out to applaud those poor souls who forked out £60 for the privilege of watching that sh*t.

ENIC are an absolute disgrace and the club stinks because of them. Get out while you can Harry.

I was just coming in here to ask this. I watched the Chelsea v Leicester game, Brighton v Man C, Man U v Fulham, and the atmosphere's were great seeing the fans even though they were spaced out but it was still much better. You could be mistaken for thinking that our game still had fake crowd noise watching from tv as by looking at it you would never have guessed that there were 10 thousand fans in there.

I haven't caught all the games with fans this week but if we are the only club in these last 2 rounds to put their fans in the middle/upper tiers then it's an absolute disgrace. All so they could continue cashing in on a few extra ads££.

they can't even point to infrastructure investment as an excuse as Leicester have built an insane training ground while winning two trophies we would kill to win. Willing to take my chances with a different owner
ENIC have had their time but it has come to an end time to hit the road Danny boy.

To place the fans miles from the pitch is just another awful thing in a long line of shit things

It was horrendous. I paid the money as I thought I’d be able to select my usual block (not necessarily seat) in the south lower but to put us up there was insulting. If they had specified the seats were to be in the top tier when they put them on sale I wouldn’t have bothered going.

I was optimistic about the statement, to be honest I still am as I think really we need to put this season to bed before we see change but fuck me the optics on releasing a statement saying we lost sight of what's important only to put the fans up in the heavens leaving the sponsors adverts over the main seats  Lost sight of the priorities indeed fuck me.

What an absolute disgrace the club really are. They honestly couldn't give a fk about the fans. We are just walking wallets to them.

Making The Glazers and Kroenke look like model owners

i had only noticed properly yesterday that every single one of our “fan” banners has the name of a sponsor at the bottom - you know the bit that will on screen the most - I am pretty sure that at Anfield and elsewhere they didn’t do this.

And the one game where our fans are allowed back in - £60 kerching - they are placed way back from the pitch, so that the names of all the betting companies can keep the best seats.

completely symbolic of how Levy and ENIC have sold the soul of our club. I also can’t help thinking Levy was scared of supporter protests, and that’s another reason he wanted our loyal, and ripped off, fans kept as far away as possible.

We have all been Levy’d

It has been a shit season by our recent high standards, certainly. And a major overhaul of both the first team squad and the player recruitment & analytics department is required.

Define "recent" please in terms of our high standards. What about last season as well? What about the season before which was smokescreened by an incredible CL run. Top 4 is crucial commercially, but the ambition is to try and win things - there were ample opportunities in the last 5 years to step up. Instead other clubs gained traction and improved. Yes we have a lovely new stadium, but that is a false curtain, a distraction to the problems. Leicester in my opinion are now bigger than us, and it was all down to recruitment and a proper way of conducting football coherently with business. Their fans come first, their operation is clear and precise. We look like a bunch of amateurs and will continue to wear the spursy title until our board are gone and replaced with people who know what to do.

Also - please tell me how many seasons we have said the same thing about player recruitment and the overhaul of the recruitment policy in general. Too many years, not just the last two, but historically shambolic recruitment and poor decision making.... tell me, if it was any other job or business etc. surely they would be sacked or been made to move on? Bear in mind this is not a new thing, it has been like this for 20 years. There is an egotistic partial owner in our club, another owner who does not know what team he owns and a head of recruitment that quite frankly bases his decisions on YouTube videos.

The major overhaul is simple, you do what Liverpool did and spend £300m+ in two seasons... oh wait we spent £250m apparently according to Daniel's notes. On what exactly? It does not matter who the manager is, we will continue to underachieve and make poor decisions whilst those two pals (Daniel and Hitchin) operate our club.

Bale money - Wasted on 7 players was it? 2 remained latter on, one of which played about 10 games in that time.
Kane money (please stay) - probably will go to paying off the loan and wont even see transfers from it

Continuously we scrape the barrel of negotiation tactics, then miss out on the player by 5/10m - but they are too dumb to realise that actually if we do not improve the squad in critical positions we will fall apart. Then... we lose out on Champions League minimum £40m..... all of a sudden that £5/10m they were messing about to try and save seems even more of a ridiculous thing to have worried about.

The last two seasons we have paid the price for poor management and recruitment - SOMEONE has to take responsibility, not the manager. The players themselves too need to sort themselves out of course but equally you cannot polish a turd in some cases. No matter the manager, a good few of these players are simply getting away with it and 100% nowhere near PL quality.

p.s. this is not aimed at you by the way, it is more a collective approach to understanding the fundamental problems and that they will not go away with the current setup in place.

I had a look across various forums and social media and I think Levy has completely lost the fan base this time. It is going to be hard borderline impossible for him to get fans back on side at this point, there is simply no trust at all. I think he should step aside.

Among the wider fan base, Levy's ratings routinely yoyo from hate to approval.

He's getting pelters now - rightly so - but he's only a good managerial appointment, a decent transfer window and a season of promise away from being treated with indifference at worst.

But, yes, he should certainly step aside from football matters regardless.

Yes the high standards bit got me as well I thought this was in reference to the treble we won last year plus the two CL wins the previous year.

Nah, it's not difficult at all.

Appoint the right manager and give him substantial backing. That'll keep the wolves from the door for at least a season.

You can thank Pochettino for the run of top 4 finishes. Other than him none of our recent managers have made anywhere near a run of anything. Actually we can’t thank him he is gone, some genius at the club sacked him and we are back on the manager Merry go round.

And I do thank Poch. But I also acknowledge that Levy was ultimately responsible. Just as he is ultimately responsible when we are doing badly. It would be absurd to acknowledge one but not the other.

And it is demonstrably untrue that no other managers contributed to our run of consistently high PL positions. We finished in the top 6 in seven of the nine seasons before him, including each of the five seasons immediately prior to his appointment.

Who hired the players?

did he pick Winks, or any of them that played?

Just one example of a failed signing. Saldado had he signed a player that was a hit, we might have never not got to see Kane. Kane might have decided to go elsewhere on a permanent.

no club signs guaranteed success, even City took nearly 5 yrs and a billion before they got it right. We couldn’t have spent that in the same period because of the stadium

Perspective required. It looks as though we are about to finish outside the top six for the first time in over a decade. Never before in our near 140 year history have we had such a run of consistently high finishes.

Sure, the current mess is all on ENIC. But, by the same token, the previous decade and more of progress was also on them. You can’t pick and choose what to attribute to them.

It has been a shit season by our recent high standards, certainly. And a major overhaul of both the first team squad and the player recruitment & analytics department is required.

But let’s not act as though we’ve just been relegated.

pointless arguing really the way people moan on here you would think we dominated football from day dot till ENIC took over. when they took over it had been 40 fucking years since we won the title. We were always known as a cup team and got lucky in 91 with players like Gazza & Lineker that carried us when the top division wasn't being dominated by anyone. Scohlar left us in a mess that Sugar was never going to fix completely.

Half the fans if not more in here are most probably not old enough or even started following us and have no understanding. we cannot match City or Chelsea in the transfer market, we ain't a big club in comparison to Man U or Liverpool, and only thanks to Kronke we are even close to Arsenal, but because Wigan, Portsmouth, or Leicester winning the FA Cup we have owners that don't give a shit. If they didn't give a shit we would still be midtable crap of the 90's or at least been relegated

You say that, yet last night I would say there were only handfuls of people signing against Levy and ENIC, it couldn't have been more than 10% of people. Online isn't a reflection of the match going fan at all.

They did - this is from the email telling us that the ballot was open.
