Hell of a vertical leap.

He impressed again tonight, despite being isolated and having to feed off scraps for most of the match. Has all the physical attributes (strength, speed and one hell of a leap), and he showed intelligence with his movement and solid hold up play.

agreed entirely.

He's very quick and strong, did very well holding off the defenders. Some of his leaps were amazing!

They were very much playing on the counter though, which suited him to a tee. How do you think he'd go in our possession based game?

Any striker would have struggled with our incredibly slow possession football last season under AVB.

I've only seen him play at this World Cup (and the friendly against England before the tournament), a notoriously difficult competition to really assess a player's qualities. But he did impress, and in a quicker and more incisive set up that we'll hopefully see under Poch, he could be a good backup option.

Koscielny really struggled with his pace and strength at times tonight, which bodes well

He looked dangerous to me - gave Sakho and Koscielny a hard time. Ootmuscled them, beat them in the air the few occasions Ecuador got the ball forward. Is he worth taking a punt on though having come from the Mexican league??

I'm really not sure, but not averse to it - if as a club we've seen more of him on top of the world cup.

Definitely not a Darren Bent clone in my opinion

Plays like Lukaku but has a way better first touch. Could be an incredible bargain. And how long has the kid been playing striker? Something like 2 years. The story goes that he was pigeon-holed into striker after the sad passing of Chucho Benitez. He's been scoring goals for fun ever since at both national and club level.

EDIT: 18 in 23 for Pachuca and 7 in 13 at national level according to transfermarkt. Could definitely be worth a punt.

Every WC, there comes a player who looks like world beater & we fall for it. I guess, this is another one.
Better stay away, if we haven't really scouted him before.

We were linked to him before the WC (just before the Ecuador V England friendly). If the fee isn't much, he would be worth a punt, as he can play across the front 3. He also scored 1 more than Javier Hernandez did in his best season in the Mexican league.

This guy will be dirt cheap though, so there really is no downside. If poch likes him and has scouted him at his club I'm all for it. He's a cheaper option to Remy/JRodriguez I guess

Not sure if it's just wishful thinking on their part or there is some actual substance, but listed on Wikipedia as joined/joining Man Utd.

With an ability to leap like that he could be a useful player to have at free kicks and corners, he just missed the overhead cables with that jump
