Dier's passing makes Rooney's drop into midfield a waste of his talent.

Let Dier control the midfield with Alli and push Rooney into one of the two supporting forward roles.

Alli in particular is subdued because everything is resolving around Rooney when we should be played the one/two touch football he's thrived on at Tottenham.

So, you're basically saying what everyone else pretty much believes & it's Woy who is stifling everyone.

Not sure if anyone has already answered you, but it looked to me as though he gestured as if to say he was struggling for breath? I tried rewinding to see if he took a knock in the side or something, but had no success. The way he was curled up & 'rocking' on his back, it was pretty much exactly what someone does if they get winded. He seemed to go pale, too, but was back to being himself after a few minutes, so hopefully was nothing serious.
They said on tv that he was 'a little dizzy'.

What a performance.

My man crush on Eric is getting quite worrying  (almost to Ledley proportions already)

Three balls there, the first pinged one over the top that Sturridge messed up, the take and body swerve to beat a man, then an almost inch perfect pass that if Alli had just touched he'd have been in. and the little perfect lofted ball over to Sturridge to (again) fuck up.
Not to mention the countless balls between the lines, and just general ease in possession.

I'd be sad to see him in the back four now such is his progression in CM.

Just been reminded of this 'opinion' from Woy, just 6 short weeks ago. Wonder if he feels the same now?

Tottenham's Eric Dier is still in the 'shadow' of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, says Roy Hodgson

"He did it against France, that's for sure, and does it for Tottenham," Hodgson insisted, when asked about Dier's ability to shield the back four.

"I've been very impressed so have called him up with [Danny] Drinkwater, who does a similar job for Leicester City.
"They're still in the shadow of Jack Wilshere, who did so well for us before his injury.

What a performance.

He was immense, wasn't he? A real anchor for the team, as it pivoted around him from left to right. And whilst his passing was a little off vs. Wales, it was really precise and straight to the man. He's really developed into a midfield talent. I would never have seen it at the start of last season.

In fact, I was particularly dismayed watching him play there in the friendly vs. Real Madrid in Munich.

Hope we can keep hold of him for many years to come...

When I hear Jack "Wilshere is holding"... I just assume he's been caught outside a club with a gun. (or other substances:whistle:)
