Did you guys catch Lee Dixon's stupid comment on Harry's goal? 'for me, you need to put your foot through the ball' (Ie. Thump the ball as hard as you can, when facing an oncoming gk)

No, Lee, you don't. What one of the options is, is to chip the ball over the gk, as Harry expertly did. Not just belt it. That's why you were a defender mate.

If Dixon thinks Kane has got it wrong by chipping an oncoming opposition goalkeeper, how f**king stupid must a player be to chip his own? Surely too stupid to be allowed to be a pundit. Surely. :sneaky:

Can there be a worse manager on the international scene at the moment than Wilmots ?

He as an absolute wealth of attacking talent, some great CM's and CB's to provide a platform for them and yet they are tactically dreadful. He plays a 433/4231 which needs quick attacking full backs but plays two CB's there instead. And he picks Fellani as an AM/WF when he as so many other options who could speed up their play or be more direct. Hazard looks so ordinary because the tactics just stifle him.

To be fair, he is being consistent - he does not think you can score on a keeper by chipping them.

Consistently wrong. But, consistent.

Where abouts did you apply?
I applied through the UEFA lottery which closed in July. But, I got an email saying they were going to offer tickets again down the road. Dont know anything about that but Id check the UEFA Euro 2016 page for info. If there is another chance it will be at face value which is a helluva lot cheaper than the secondary markets.

6 points for Norway and all in their own hands to go directly through. Showed last night that playing with your heart outside is more worth then having a team full off "stars"

Modric alone is worth twice as much as the whole Norwegian teams in terms of money.

Iceland have qualified for their first ever major tournament finals following 0-0 draw with Kazakhstan.
They're joined by Czech Republic from the same group as both sides have 19 points, 7 more than 3rd placed Turkey, with 2 games remaining.
Holland are pretty much f****d now as well. 2 points behind Turkey, with a trip to Kazakhstan next, then the final game at home to Czech. Can't see them scraping into the play-off ahead of Turkey.

Do the job against Malta, hope Italy have guaranteed their spot before the final game and job's a good-un. An Italy with nothing to play for can always be beaten, even away.

Plus, since Italy have beaten Norway in all three World Cups Norway have ever been in (1938, 1994 and 1998) it would be nice to finally get one over them when it mattered.

Much like many England managers through history, you get the feeling he's got no idea what his best team is, or how to fit together the talent they do have into a coherent shape.

Pretty decent evening of international football

Scotland had a great game with Germany but came up short

Ireland did what they needed to do against Georgia but I wouldn't bet against the Scots getting a result against Poland so there's still a lot to play for

Northern Ireland did well to come back and get a draw under those circumstances - still very well placed to make it to France

With England already there, Wales all but there and Northern Ireland looking good for a place it's shaping up to be an interesting tournament for the home nations

One of Scotland or Ireland will at have a play off most likely - Ideally both would be Poland and Ireland take the automatic with Scotland then having the chance to qualify too (can that actually happen or am I making shit up?)

Yep, pretty sure that if both Ireland & Scotland beat Poland then they'll finish 2nd & 3rd (tie goes on head to head and Scots would have 1W & 1D against Poland).

Knowing Scotland thou they'd probably lose to Gibraltar in the last game and mess it all up :ROFLMAO:

Or a bunch of players who've got a bit too big for their boots following big money transfers.....

You can pretty much guarantee if Liverpool or Arsenal had a 22 year old English striker who scored 31 goals last season he wouldn't be constantly sitting on the bench.

Has Oxlade-Chamberlain played more games for England than Arsenal now?

What an absolutely dreadful side - Shelvey, Delph, Cahill - we have better than them - and when is Roy gonna realise that Rooney is yesterday's news and Kane is the man now?
