Hopefully Rubin away is the last game and we've qualified by then. Send the kids out to Russia, they'll love playing in the snow.

Edit: 3rd Nov will do, 9 points in the bag going to Rubin.

Damn :-(. I was hoping we'd get the away game early and we'd bring a decent enough team over. We'll more than likely be thorugh by then and will probably bring a youth team. Knowing my luck I'll probably have an exam on that day as well.

When's the next round of the Carling Cup supposed to be? Will Shamrock Rovers now be our other free cup game?

Only one away gamein the league after we come back from an away game in the EL, and it's away to Fulham. Not too bad at all.

the 10oclock news tonight on irish radio station 2todayfm said that rovers are looking to play the 3 games in there own ground, make more sence to switch it to aviva stadium make more money for them, they would sell out there own ground 5 or 6 times, i had people ringing me looking for tickets and they dont even support either club, plus better chance of me getting a ticket:)

Haha I stand corrected.

Not necessarily. A couple of ways of looking at it, the CL game was just a qualifier, this is a proper group stages game, but that Deportivo side was one of the strongest teams in Spain at the time, much better than they are now and probably better than we are now.

It was a great result for Shelbourne.

Is it fuck. Shelbourne drew 0-0 with Deportivo in the CL back in 2004. Was at the game, in Lansdowne, the old Aviva.

and held them scoreless away for at least 45mins, can't actually remember when they eventually scored

irish times article

not sure if it is in this article or another one, but apparently all the home games have to be played at the same venue and they would have to pay €20,000 to rent the Aviva, which could be fine for the spurs game, but for the others it could be a risk.

There is also the risk that if spurs have qualified by Dec 15 - which they should be - then if spurs field a weakened team, there might not be as much demand for tickets, meaning that renting the Aviva would be a big risk.
