If there isn't a statement from us tonight / before the game there should be a protest from us tomorrow.
I think there should be one regardless of whether we pull out or not. Let's be honest, they won't have withdrawn out of the goodness of their hearts.

Talking hypothetically , if the ESL went ahead City and Chelsea would want back in. Thats how spineless they are.

All the teams that signed up should argue thier reasons, not back out. There is no harm clubs suggesting change. Lets hear what they have to say.
Im feeling , its all been overhyped with the football authorities, clubs and goverment, all panicking becuse large sums of money with move away. I feel everyone wants a piece of the lucrative pie.

I don't agree, as much as I hate the knuckle draggers if they finish top four they deserve CL, our attempt to steal this right away is disgusting IMO and I am ashamed we were part of it.

Yet still less controversial than giving our place to Roberto Di Matteo's band of 10 men behind the ball.

Premier League 14 meeting acknowledge the league needs a reset...
Also some execs of the big 6 would not be welcome back

It's the ultimate betrayal against the fans.

I get the argument 'what else was Levy supposed to do when all the other "big clubs" went for it', but I feel like the same for all 6.

They should all leave because they clearly don't actually give a shit about their fans.

You are missing the point, this suggested super league was just an attempt to keep elite clubs rich, we arent elite but yet we happily were lead to join cause of our stadium.

Oh For fuck sake. I woke up on monday to news we were guaranteed European football forever, shit loads of cash and no Jose.

24 hours later, the clubs that have shit loads of cash already have pulled out.. Levy will probably go.. And knowing spurs we'll end up being the only club left in the bloody thing and get kicked out of the league.

Exactly. This is an ongoing issue with NBA. The NBA solution was to set up a lottery system to ensure teams don't tank the rest of the season when they know they are out of title chase but have a chance at a top pick for a top player. The whole mentality and setup is just fucked up. And fans in the US are conditioned to accept that this is a good solution.

I'm an nba fan and I think that while not perfect it works. The quality of the sport and the entertainment is high level even in games between teams playing for nothing.

The other thing is that the league is just a setup for the real purpose of the sport - the playoffs. If the SL was going to try for an American model I wish they had come up with something like that. I've wished they do this for cricket tournaments forever. Get the best teams playing best of 3 or 5 games. In some cricket world cups you can sometimes count the big games between the best teams on one hand.

Doesn't FIFA outlaw government interference in football associations? I'm sure I've heard of countries losing their memberships/right to play in competitions because of it before.

The Government can hold reviews into whatever it wants. As long as it doesn't force The FA to implement the findings of the review I doubt FIFA will consider it to be political interference.

You don’t seem to get the logic of what it means to support a club, even outside the top division. It’s amazing how little people here seem to understand how football fandom works outside of the modern top 6.
My home team is Hearts of Midlothian ,my livelihood is based around it as well. My wife is a PAOK supporter from PAOK supporting family . I understand football outside of 5 big leagues and see damage that CL and Premier Leauge coused.
