We got 100 points and Ireland 119 - right side of the table (left side though of course) so not at all bad, compared with last year.

Out of a potential win of over £18,000, I've ended up winning a couple of hundred.

Thanks very much Europe you bunch of fucking ****s!

I cannot believe I sat through all 3+ hours of that!

Must watch something intelligent now if I can find it.

Worst voting ever that one. What a curveball the voting for Sweden and Denmark was. Completely fucked me over.

Should have put money on them :-( And not listen to Lanh!
Sorry dude, it seems like I did spark a late run on Switzerland and Hungary. You should have checked at the last minute, I got money on Az just before it closed.

I normally make a ton of money on Eurovision, regularly in the thousands, this time though just £176.40 out of a possible £18,000-ish, the votes for Denmark and especially Sweden really threw me, they were two of the blandest songs ever.

As for Italy, where the fuck they came from I really don't know. I'd not seen it performed live before tonight, less than halfway through I said to a mate, "Top 3 this one, probably runner-up", but by then it was way too late.

I still can't believe that Sweden and Denmark did so well, I've genuinely no idea how or why that happened.

I'm back, we made them put it on at the Working mens club, (they have 6 screens)just to see what was happeining, and, almost everyone stopped watching the football on the other screens and got interested when the UK looked like they had a chance.....

Over three hours of some unbelievably bad songs, but it was definitely entertaining and we love to rant about the voting, don't we!

Turkey, Russia and those countries who used to be part of the USSR are officially designated as Eurasian nowadays, rather than European or Asian.

However, there are countries like Israel who take part who are most definitely in Asia but the criteria for entry is membership of the European Broadcasting Union and there are more than 200 member countries of the Union who can take part on that basis if they wish to.

Isnt that more countries than there are in the world?

I've honestly never ranted about the voting before, but last night was a complete joke.

I am still at a complete loss as to how Denmark and Sweden got so many fucking votes, I was looking at the voting tables and I can't work out why that happened. Okay so Sweden won their semi-final by some margin, but most of the big votes they got were from block voting countries, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Russia big fucking surprise there, but the rest of them, pffft.

Having said all that, I am very happy that Eurovision is going somewhere next year that it's never been before! Might have to try and make a trip out to Baku for the final next year!

Oh and what a show Germany put on, that staging was absolutely fantastic, completely transformed the football stadium. Excellent stuff!
