Surely banega would fill the role moutinho did at porto? With paulinho the guarin role?

If I am honest I don't want Benega or Pastore. I don't think either are great. Benega is talented but a lunatic who can't be trusted to look after himself (like Balotelli) and Pastore hasn't kicked on in France. If we want to add a creative player to our midfeild 3 it should be Eriksen.

Personally between Pastore and Banega, it is Banega all the way!.......With the Monsters DMs Spurs have now, Banega would fit the team perfectly as a number 10. He is no slouch and tackles well too.....a team player with lots of versatility, just what AVB likes. Banega as first choice for no.10 and Eriksen as second choice for no.10 (maybe get Eriksen at cut price in January TW if he still have not sign contract extension at Ajax.....interesting how this pans out).

Best about Banega to Spurs? He knows Soldado game inside out! COYS!!!

Eriksen will keep signing one year extensions (as he's already been doing) until he is sold. He has stated before that he will not go on a free and will stay at Ajax until the right offer comes.

He's a smart and level headed kid.

Yup, agreed he is a smart kid......that's why i said "interesting how this pans out".......time will tell.

Are you sure you got your info correct? From my understanding he Joined Ajax in Oct 2008 signing 2.5 years contract. In April 2010, he signed a contract till summer of 2014......

Yes. His contract runs out next summer but he's told the press that he won't leave on a free no matter what and thus will sign extensions with Ajax until he is sold and they get their money.

Thank you, Yes he did say that.....but life is so fluid....Isn't there a certain GB11 who stated he wants to be part of the team to push for UCL? (clue, he is known as a level headed boy playing left wing for Spurs once upon a time).......That's why i mentioned "time will tell"......

He's got some questionable character issues (jerked off on a webcam I think) and he tried to stop a moving car with his foot that ended up breaking either his foot or ankle.

Other than that, he's a creative force in midfield and plays a lot like Modric in the way he likes to keep the ball moving and has the ability to spot a pass quickly. He'd make sense in a midfield 3 with a goal scorer (Paulinho/Siggy) and a destroyer. That'd be a good blend of talents.

It was his own car. Parked it without the handbrake on and it started rolling so he tried to stop it and he fell and the car went over the top of him, broke his leg quite badly. There were strong rumours at the time (although unconfirmed) that he was pissed when it happened which ties in with the drink problem stories. I haven't seen him play since the accident but he was definitely a handy player before.
