A lot of rumours about on Twitter the past day or so but the news from the Official Site was like a punch in the gut. That all but confirms its validity.

Gylfi always came across as a really nice and down to earth guy. He was very patient with pictures and autographs and seemed happy to joke around with the fans at training sessions I attended. Of course, that does not make or break a person's character, but by all accounts he was one of the nicest guys in the league, with never a controversy surrounding his name...

I definitely feel for his wife if these allegations turn out to be true. Can't imagine the stress and anguish she must be going through.

Yes, innocent until proven guilty- but any responsible adult wouldn't engage with a younger person online or texting in a sexual manner.
For the club to send out this message, seems to point to serious evidence and while shocking as it is- the younger people must be protected at all costs and there is no innocent excuse for a grown man to be in this position.
As a father this is my worst nightmare and I hope the young people are ok.

Yes, we hope the young persons are OK...........But we don't know what's happened or what the circumstances were. We shouldn't assume anything, saying 'but' or that there's no excuse for him to be in this position straight away makes him look guilty of something, that's not innocent until proven guilty really, is it? Lets wait until the facts are known.
