Can we please stop calling every game a must win.
I'd love it if we beat them tomorrow, LOVE IT!
If that's the case, no game is a "must win".No it isn't
Just because we want to win doesn't make it must win.
If that's the case, no game is a "must win".
But every point adds up over the course of the season. So if we were to draw against Everton tomorrow and then end the season 5th and two points behind Man City, then that Everton match could've been considered a "must win" game, no?Of course there are must win games, but it all depends on what is at stake. Just saying it's a must win game isn't enough. If people were saying, "It's a must win or we'll remain fourth x points behind Arsenal til next week" then I'd agree. But what people are implying is "It's must win if we want to finish in the top 4" and it just isn't.

Steven Pienaar is a better player than both Lennon and Kranjar.

The Spurs fans view Luka Modric as there best player and for me, other than the huge difference in price tag, there's isn't much difference between Pienaar and Luka.
Yeah, I get what you're saying.No.
Why would it come back to that match? Your first statement is right, every point over the season counts. For our final league position, each game carries equal significance, each is worth the same amount of points.
This game is not must win if we want to finish top 4, if it were then drawing or losing tomorrows game would mean we can no longer possibly finish in the top 4.
Yeah, I get what you're saying.
But for me, Everton are playing poorly, have a bunch of injuries and we tend to fare quite well at Goodison Park. Therefore, for me, it's a must win game. It might not be a "must win or we won't finish 4th" but it's a "if we don't win here we may look back and regret it" in the same way I view the Stoke home match.
That, and I'm making the long journey to Liverpool tomorrow and I wanna see my team victorious, damnit.
But "must win" makes it sound much more dramatic. So it's like every game, a game we hope to win. But, added on top, it's a game against a team that is there for the taking. Not a must win, but one we really want to, and should.
