I’m just so sick of the way our club is run, it wasn’t a slight on Conte, this is a perfect opportunity to move on and try and salvage something from this season before we have nothing left.

Trix is right, we need to have someone lined up and make it a quick transition if that’s what we’re gonna do.

Levy will already have a shortlist, if he hadn’t he’s even more incompetent than we all thought.
Levy will have a shortlist, a very short list with Pochettino only on it.
Levy and his out of the box thinking?

Exactly what I was thinking and guess who be the next manager for the new season. Don't think we need a crystal ball to see Levy's plans.
It's all a bit transparent, innit? Though, my belief is that Conte's staff will stay with the team until the end of the season. With both he and Mason in charge.

Feel a little sorry for the players. But, who knows what their feelings are as far as Conte goes?

Question is whether Stellini and Mason will switch things up. Or just stick to Conte's tactical approach.

Poch is not a mess, it’s only a problem if he’s not given the money conte has had and if he refuses to work with a DOF. If both conditions are met then we are cooking and no one else is better suited to the club
How you can say this with such conviction is really baffling. He did some great things for us but also has serious flaws (many of which are levelled at Conte).

- Stubborn
- Takes too long to make subs
- Reluctant to drop / withdraw big players despite form (this was often apparent with Dele and epitomised in the FA Cup semi final where he played Son at LWB and dropped Davies so as not to upset one of the big names)
- Not great tactically
- poor record in identifying and signing players (Sess, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Osvaldo etc)

I seriously believe many supporters are blinded by the Romance of a Poch return and forgetting how it all unravelled last time.

Except he didn't

i mean he did, he got rid of the bad eggs and used some of the talent we had within the academy (yes I know tactics Tim) promoted a lot of them. But he still played them, and turnt rose/walker into 2 of the best full backs in the league.
When I say “utilise” i don’t mean he used all academy players.

He is obviously aware and sensitive to the criticism. Remember his "we have unfinished business" interview prior to Nuno? The reference to spend and how we have been to x finals and y semi-finals under his tenure in response to THST? What's more odd is that he doesn't stop and think "am I the asshole?" before cracking on in exactly the same asshat way. Incidentally "am I the asshole" is a superb read. Google search it. The guy who brought pizza to a party and then ate it all himself is my favourite.

He meant a new hotel.

Here is my thinking, maybe just maybe, Levy was like you know what - Poch was right, we needed the rebuild, he was the man for it - I shouldnt have let him go and I regret my decision.

I dont hate Conte, I dont not like Conte, im indifferent. I am a realist and dont think he was ever right for this job nor was Jose and certainly not Nuno. I think Levy was going for the win it now manager, wrongly may I add, and spending half a billion is and never was the way we should go about it.

The whole thing around Conte is just so bizarre. Those just don't sound like the words of a man ready to walk away from the club. The complete opposite if anything. Someone somewhere is trying to create a narrative.
I think Conte comes across as a man of integrity. I should think even if he is planning on leaving, he will absolutely do his best until the end. (IMO)

I think fans like myself are blinded by the most exciting, successful enjoyable period of my lifetime supporting spurs.

According to Ally Gold the players have massive respect for Mason and thinks his training sessions and his tactical intelligence are superb. We saw a glimpse of it against City. So i personally think it will work out pretty well with him and stelli taking over for the moment.

I guess it depends how you measure success as we still failed to win anything. Football under Redknapp was equally as exciting at times.

I’m not knocking anyone for wanting Poch back, he gave us all some of our greatest memories and most of us love him for it, but some fans seem to think he’s guaranteed to be a success and get us playing great football.

He’ll get us more on the front foot (or at least he’ll try to, but I’m not convinced it’ll happen with the current squad. I just have a horrible feeling it’s going to end in tears if he comes back (although that always happens here regardless of the manager)

Mason is our future manager-wise. He has worked with multiple proven coaches and is one of our own, unlike most other coaches who are just mercenaries focused on their careers.

This is why it was important to let Mason get managerial experience. It's a sign of trust and approval from us which would hopefully be reciprocated.

Of course. But big games aside, it is going to be hard to stop the players just drifting through the rest of the season.

There is everything to play for this season. We are 2 points of 4th ffs. I dunno why some fans like drama and disruption so much. Personally I’m tired of it. I would rather we stuck with Conte and backed him through the bad patches.
Depends if he even wants to be here. I don’t think he does so if that’s the case, pull the band aid off now

I do share your concerns. This squad has spent a good few years playing passive football, it won’t be easy to turn that around quickly
