Whilst Conte needs to go, what’s more depressing is Levy seemingly just carry’s on indefinitely. Absolute shambles. Really hope we go back to someone who wants to play on the front foot, but I have such little trust in Levy getting any appointment right. Such sad times for a fantastic football club and fan base.

You’d still be a man down though, regardless of being able to make the sub at a later stage.

You guys are talking as if it were a foregone conclusion that had Danjuma come on we would’ve scored, but that’s the least likely outcome given the momentum in the game at the time.

Milan were very solid and compact at the back and they took 3-4 passes to reach our box. It’s 100% more likely that they would’ve scored had we been a man light at the back than us scoring because we had another attacker on the pitch at the same time.

We already had Son, Kane, Kulusevski, Richy attacking the box. There should be no need for a 5th. Not at the risk of throwing the game away on a single counter attack.
I haven’t - nor have many of us - suggested we make a different sub at that point. We just had no reason to make a defensive sub at that point.

I can't work out why he didn't sign the contract he was reportedly offered a while ago to get a bigger payout now

So we should’ve just played a 1-0-8 formation? Because we already had Porro and Davies as the WB’s at that point, all the way up the pitch and Lenglet was the only player covering with Romero. When he got sent off we needed to replace him like for like to have atleast 2 players defending the counter.

Keep in mind that we were already basically playing a 4-2-4 before the red but the two “fullbacks” in this case were Davies and Porro.

How many more managers and situations will it take for Levy to be the issue, the common denominator.
Yeah Levy brought on Sanchez last night didn’t he when there were attacking options on the bench?!

Agree I don’t think it matters who is manager at this point when you have utter failure above them. Levy is a proven looser over god knows how many managers now and managed to piss away the best years of a generational striker at the same time. He is a turd.

And there goes the dressing room 👋

inmean he’s hardly covered himself in glory, but son has been absysmal! So I totally get what he’s saying! 2 games is not enough time to find any form, yet a player has even stunning the place out all year continually gets picked!

mid hes lost the dressing room (albeit a completely shit & snakey dressing room) he has to go. Take the lot of em with him, including paratici.

He looked more checked out last night than he had before needing surgery. Think we just need to call it a day and ensure we get 4th.

Still can't believe I'm saying it as I was always fully behind Conte. If he has checked out then why should we care?

This whole club needs a massive change.

Exactly the point I’m trying to make. Davies and Porro were basically the WF at that point in the game, Skipp and PEH at the edge of the box and 4 attackers in it.

He had to bring Sanchez on to help Lenglet cover for the counter, if we had brought on Danjuma instead we would’ve had only Lenglet back to cover. It’s ludicrous to think that any manager would’ve left one CB on the pitch.

We had 8 min to save the tie. You throw out the shape to try to stay in the tournament. It's pointless worrying about the hypothetical next thirty minutes when the team hasn't scored in the previous 170 min of football.

In any case, we already had two players capable of playing CB: Davies and Lenglet. We also had two defensively-minded midfielders still on the pitch: Skipp and Hojbjeg.

I felt like one of the last men standing with Poch. I do so again with Conte. Is the football awful … yes. But I still recall the football in the last third of last season. It was great. That’s more Conte football. He will have a winning vision but needs players that can operate within it.

It’s not like Levy hasn’t thrown previous managers under the bus and somehow turned fans on the manager screaming he has to go. Just look back. If you appoint Conte you have to back his vision. He is a winner as a player and coach. We will see that proved again in his next venture. Instead we will be left with a core of players that failed our previous coaches including Poch.

I love Poch, but within 2 years under Levy we’ll have the same chat except I don’t want to see Poch’s legacy ruined forever because Levy has his own “non football” vision.

Be nice lads. Just because I like to try and stick by “most” coaches we appoint. Even more so with Conte
I agree with a lot of what you say but I think his race is run and he needs to go. The football is horrendous and the system is so rigid and negative. I just don’t understand how Son continues to get minutes when he’s been so poor for the bulk of the season, and why we done see Danjuma more - it’s baffling.

Any manager coming in barring Simeone will surely improve the quality of football currently on display.

The problem is, until we hire a manager and give them full autonomy on the football side (along with the DOF), there will always be blurred lines and interference from you know who and we’ll continue to go around in circles.

Let’s be honest, we weren’t playing much of any formation throughout the last 20 minutes. It was a mess.

It doesn’t matter what personnel we had on the pitch when there positioning was in attack. PEH and Skipp were not sitting deep waiting to break up play, they were attacking the box.

This is how we were playing at the time

When Origi hit the post, we had both Lenglet and Sanchez covering and they still almost scored a goal. 30 extra minutes and a single CB to cover would’ve been suicide IMO.

Everyone is so emotional and angry about the result and I get that but you have to consider how we were actually positioned on the pitch.

Mate, when you're 1-0 down and need a goal to stay in the tie, most managers would have switched to 4 at the back rather than sacrifice an attacker to maintain a 5ATB system that doesn't even work.
I thought we had already gone 4 at the back with Davies going out to the LWB
