Let’s be honest, we weren’t playing much of any formation throughout the last 20 minutes. It was a mess.

That’s my point though, we had 7 players attacking their box and 2 sitting deep to defend that was with Sanchez in those two deep sitters.

If we needed another attacker to score when we already had 7 players trying we may as well as have given up when Romero went off.

There was more than enough “quality” on the pitch to score, we did not need Danjuma instead of Sanchez.

It doesn’t matter what personnel we had on the pitch when there positioning was in attack. PEH and Skipp were not sitting deep waiting to break up play, they were attacking the box.

This is how we were playing at the time

When Origi hit the post, we had both Lenglet and Sanchez covering and they still almost scored a goal. 30 extra minutes and a single CB to cover would’ve been suicide IMO.

Everyone is so emotional and angry about the result and I get that but you have to consider how we were actually positioned on the pitch.
Why are the players on that line up in Arsenal colours?

How many out of our first team are champions league ability. 3 maybe 4. We’re not good enough for the competition
You're telling me Milan who are 5th in serie A and would be 6th without Juve's points deductions have a better team? Kane, Son, Deki, Perisic, Hojbjerg, Skipp and Romero are all CL quality. You can add Forster to that given his previous experience, he didn't do anything wrong anyway.

I would rather cut my winky off with a tablespoon than ever support that gobshite team or any other than my beloved THFC.

Even if this club will be the reason for our cardiac problems in the future.

Still trying to make sense of bringing on a defender for an attacker when your chasing a massive game in its dying embers.
We had played 180 minutes playing three cbs marking the lightening quick Giroud, I think the two CBS left on the pitch would have coped with him for ten remaining minutes.

So many tactical errors,so many baffling decisions.

Another season wasted, unless you love go karting.
We start every game under Conte with 8 defensive players. Regardless of the opposition. Regardless of the tie & a draw not being good enough. Every game we allow the opposition to grow into the game & gain confidence. Every game we say you're better with the ball than we are but we'll hit you on the break. It works against City, they're one of the few sides better than us.

Still seething about the audacity of this prick. He’s had fans chanting his name since day one. He’s been talking about needing patience whilst having no intention of staying. He’s stuck stubbornly to systems that don’t work whilst expensive players bought for him sit on the bench. And then he asks for fans to support the team, and they do, and they watch as a team goes out in a must win game with no intensity, no attacking plan, and muster two shots on target. In a game we have to win.

And then he suggests “it’s a miracle to even be here”. “What can you expect, it’s Tottenham”. A Tottenham that’s been to a final whilst this serial winner never has. Oh, Milan were successful in the past in this competition? Well we’ve won more FA Cups than Sheffield United, more League Cups than Nottingham Forest, more league titles than Leicester - surely we should’ve won them?

Serial winner? This dickhead hasn’t come close. It’s an insult to us if his desk isn’t already cleared.

..and here is the issue. These players are in appalling form. They are playing NOW way below CL level. The problem is so many on here have last season judgements of players and I include the management in that.

Its a question of opening your eyes to see who is contributing, not judging performances on reputation.

Still baffled about why this serial **** is still in charge after that press conference on top of the performance.

We were lucky that Milan are possibly one of the worst 2 teams left in the CL (not including us)

If that were a half competent CL side we would have taken a beating over the 2 legs

You've had months to get used to how things are, you've had overnight to get your head around the game so it'd be nice if you and anyone else who's plastic 'anger' is so great, could at least post like adults and leave the vitriol out.

That ridiculous Romero challenge was the final straw for me…..that’s when I checked out………have a feeling it’s going to be a while before I check in again. It’s just not worth it and I have absolutely zero faith in Levy making the right call….

He won't be here in 18 months because he never last more than two seasons in one place.

I've refrained from giving my onions on Conte, because the positivity is good to see. But the man is a lunatic. He needs instant success and if he doesn't get it he becomes the biggest **** you can imagine.

I hope I'm completely wrong, but I think this is a car crash waiting to happen. I gave Jose 18 months, and I'll be astonished if Conte hangs around that long.

Apologies for the negative vibes.

This was part of the worry of qualifying last night. Imagine what Bayern or whoever would do to us if we got through - it would be a pasting.

I just had the dread of realising we're playing again on Saturday. If Conte is still here it could be an ugly match (and not just because he'll set up exactly the same way as tonight).
