I think it is worth remembering at this point that we are fourth in the league. We have been worse in the past and we will be worse in the future. We are not quite at a low point some seem to think we are.

That is not to say Conte has been impressive, but equally I don’t think he has missed expectations as much as suggested here. Certainly not to the point where any of the abuse we see is justified.

In Pochettino's last season, we were not on course to get fourth in the league and indeed we did not achieve it under Mourinho either in his first season, or his second.

Only Conte was able to get us back there, whatever his failings this year, we are close to achieving it again. It is very unusual that he calls for time, while at the same time, refusing to commit to any project, but now we have one game a week why not just see where that takes us?

The impact of losing Bentancur,Lloris, Bissouma and Sessegnon Are also mitigating factors that don’t seem to be being taken into account.

Spurs are a profoundly unlucky club.
Forster has been just as good as lloris, sess has been awful, he doesn't pick bissouma

I am dead serious about it. The Poch chants were more embarrassing than our miserable performance last night!

I don‘t understand why we expect to be progressing to the CL final if our second most important player is injured and some other players are completely out of form. That‘s not on Conte - don‘t fall for it and stop turning on him. It‘s always the same pattern, can‘t you see it?!
Like under Poch when Kane was injured and we had a midfield 2 of Winks & Sissoko yet made it to the CL final? ;)

We will look past this setback if we manage to finish in the top 4.
Let‘s stay calm and get at least behind the team now. Son definitely needs to be benched though.
Like others, it's the FA cup that's really got to me because it's there to be won this season.
Limping out of the CL in the way we did is painful but we were never winning that, not even trying for the FA cup though is ridiculous.
With the wolves result thrown in, it's been a pretty shit week and I honestly think we're going to struggle to pick up from here.

It feels like everyone, from the fans to the players, is resigned to just waiting for the season to end now.

I am firmly in the players aren’t good enough camp. I agree that Conte is responsible for some of these signings that haven’t worked and also takes blame for passiveness. However, I just don’t see any manager doing great things with current squad. We have too many average players.

Having said that, Conte’s heart doesn’t seem to be in it and if that is the case he should leave. We should not be begging anyone to take our £15m a year to manage us. The manager needs to be the most enthusiastic person in the club, otherwise you can’t expect it from the players. I think all the uncertainty has definitely contributed to our poor form.

Remember the league form though. We fell off a cliff after Xmas but luckily we had enough points to cling on to top 4. I seem to remember us getting awful results most weeks but everyone below us losing as well.

Levy might not sure the fans will. I couldn’t give a toss where we finish now - it’s not like we will try and win whatever competition we qualify for so what’s the point beyond maximising profit

That’s exactly what happened. We drew or lost several “must win” games but Woolwich imploded too. They lost 3-2 home to Palace, missed a last minute pen v us and drew 1-1 home to a poor Brighton side to out-Spurs us.

Our league form absolutely fell off a cliff after Christmas. Many point to the Wolves 1-3 at home as the start of it, some point to Poch’s meltdown v Burnley as the catalyst.

IMO it started at the end of the previous season. Our intensity seemed to drop after we beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge for the remainder of that season and we never really recovered it. Results just took 6 months to catch up with performances. There were some flashes of vintage-Poch (6-2 v Everton being the main one) but something broke at the end of that season and we never recovered it IMO.

Jesus Christ, you should have demanded half a gram of columbian marching powder and a reach around for those readies.
Don't even think it was actual Coke - just the cheap generic shite most pubs spray into drinks. We'd just beaten Chelsea so I'd probably have given the barman a blowjob if he asked I was in such good form. Not many fucks were given until I looked at my bank statement next morning.

Ah the good old days when we won games...

If Conte does the presser tomorrow my personal opinion is it means Levy’s first choice replacement is currently employed and is willing to wait until the summer for him.

I’ve seen Richarlison’s quotes and tbh it moves me towards just parting company now

Just checked again in case I was going mad coz the more I think I've it, the more I think I was robbed. I'm living in Dublin which is extortionate but that really is OTT. Just checked the bank statement - £21.30...
