Conte talks a lot about the commitment of the players to continue improving - I can't help but wonder if that is tied to Dele and Ndombele, in particular, leaving in January.

Both players strike me as someone who might not give 100% in training. And, without the distractions, everyone is working harder.
Similar to when Poch culled the herd in summer 2015

I think today was an absolutely massive result, I think this was probably the biggest marker of the Conte era because I felt like Villa would cause us misery today by turning up and they actually did turn up in the exact way I expected and we still got the 3 points and did so with 4 goals and a clean sheet and then you add on top of that the fact our rivals dropped points and we still managed to get the result we did, it's absolutely fantastic.

Next 3 games are massive, I think what separates Conte from the rest is his ability to poke and prod at his players so they don't start getting complacent and that's why he gets the form he does. Honestly I said it last week and I'll say it again, this is exactly what I anticipated from Conte this season. I was trying to keep my feet on the ground and tell myself that Arsenal are favourites but it's just too difficult to do so now, we're in an incredible spot now and with the next 3 games, we just need to keep consistent and get the wins and give us some margin for the end of the season.

We need to keep it up but he’s got us playing as ruthlessly as I’ve seen us since 2016/17 in the last month or so. I have confidence that we’ll keep it up too. It’s not like when we were top of the league under Jose - that felt fragile at the time.

It’s all about doing smart business in the summer now. If we do that then I think we’ve got a genuine shot at mixing it up with Liverpool and City next season. Unlike United and Arsenal we’ve got a core group of genuinely top players - we just need to add the finishing touches to the squad.

It's as much about supporting the outs as it is supporting the ins.

That where Poch and Mour REALLY came unstuck with Levy.

Was that the season we went all season unbeaten at home? That season at home we were utterly ruthless and today resembled that kind of ruthlesness.

Some really good detail in this NBC interview with Son. Not watched Conte interview yet on same page. Son basically says Conte is another level.

As a Spurs fan, if you can’t be happy with everything he says in that quote there, then I’m not sure the sport is for you. It’s what we have wanted in a manager and team for years. A manager who knows what he wants and is determined to get it and a bunch of players who have obviously completely bought into what he is telling them every day. Marvellous.

They have to do a hell of a lot of interviews now don’t they? Must be pretty tedious but easier when you win!

Whilst I agree in terms of starting XI, we are now benefitting from playing just one game per week. With European footie next season, we must be able to rotate Kane and Son to avoid running them into the ground.

Whereas Bergwijn (if he stays) probably can cover Son reasonably well, we need to come up with a plan for being able to rest Kane once in a while. I do not have the answer, and as we all know it has proved difficult in the past to bring in a CF specialist of sufficient quality. So hopefully Conte/Paratici can find an option who can cover multiple positions in the attacking three. Not sure if Kettlehair could be that one, or if perhaps Kulu could fill in as a false #9.

Fitness, tactics, mentality. I think Conte has nailed it in understanding these 3 missing elements have been solely missing in the squad for so damn long.

Please, a few more upgrades to the squad and removal of dead wood, I think everyone in the club and us fans can really be dreaming of something special next season. I'm feeling the goosebumps as I write...

Like all Spurs fans, watching games has been a worry, because even at 3-0 up with 10 mins left we expect it to go tits up... Its part of our DNA I think. But lately I have started to feel relaxed and chilled about it all. Need to choose when we play out from the back better, but by and large we are getting there. Up front we are a joy to watch, and I don't need my heart spray so often. Thanks Antonio, you have made my life a tad more comfortable.. COYS

Given what he started with, if this manager ultimately manages to push this group of players into a top four finish, anything less than Levy saying yes to every single one of this man's demands in the summer will be unacceptable.
