If he starts Emerson again he's clearly lost the plot. Players actively avoiding him in the buildup, saw it plenty of times today.

Also, please can anyone give me any enlightenment as to why he's bringing on Davinson instead of Reguilon? If he's trying to make a point about his wing-backs then why don't you just say it in private to Levy instead of fucking up our chances like that.

Thin squad, except for the specialist wing back on the bench (Reguilon) and a man who scored two ridiculously clutch goals in added time to beat Leicester (Bergwijn)
Yep his use of bergwijn is a joke. But let's face it Reguilon wasn't going to change anything.

Anyone who knows more than I about Contes stints at Chelsea and Inter know if ever varied from 532 or has he always been blindly stubborn even when it doesn’t work?

There is no flexibility with this coach. He needs world class players throughout the pitch for his wing back system to work. Can Spurs give him that in the summer? i'm not sure we can.

We have had purple patches this season where we won games and scored lots of goals but that also coincided with Kane dropping deep and playing like Zidane, when he doesnt drop deep to link up play for others, we look absolutely toothless.

The counter attacking play is understandable against the top clubs but we seem to want to play against everyone, even against some of the shittest teams out there too. It is just so boring to watch. Teams grow in confidence when they see us do that.

I really hope PSG come and take him from us and we can have Poch back. We need a coach that is brave and takes the game to the opposition.

The current style of play where we are asking Kane to put 9/10 every game is just mind numbingly boring. Surely we could have switched to 4-3-3 in the past 2 games and got bentancur to play further forward with winks sitting eith Hojberg. I dont know, try something different.

Rant over.
That's bollocks. He doesnt need world class players in every position. He won titles with Moses and Ashley Young in his teams.

Bottom line is this squad is absolute dross and whilst hes improved it there was too much to do.

I was actually laughing at how shit and slow Dier, Davies and Holjberg are.

Honestly wouldn't be that upset if he fucks off to PSG.

We need a manager who is up for the fight, and he ain't it.
I am getting an immense feeling of deja vu like I've heard something like this many times before over the seasons.

Very frustrating from him today, as it was in the last game against Brighton.

Just watching us play in a way that really isn't bearing any fruit whatsoever and not doing near enough to change things. We could all see the game was passing us by.

I'd have a much easier time accepting the result if it looked like we did all we could do to try and change things. Nothing really clicked whatsoever, chances came through little frantic bits of play.

I can only imagine his late substitution was to make sure we got 1 point today unlike the Brighton game

If we played like this under Nuno, fans would be calling for his head. 2 games against Brighton & Brentford where we had no shots on target and were lucky to get a single point. Pathetic

I thought Davies was one of the few who played with some urgency.

But you're absolutely correct the other two r incredibly mediocre and can't be in our starting 11 if we want to actually challenge city and Liverpool.

Tbf I thought Sanchez looked ok and we looked more solid with him over Sess.

And we still almost lost with them hitting the post. I have no problem with making a change to do as such at the later stages of a match but I wish in the time before we did more to actually win it. Wasted so much of that match doing fuck all.

Apart from a clinical 45 minutes against Villa, we’ve been outthought and out-fought for much of the past three games, despite having superior talent on the pitch.

I understand that he’s married to his system, but his job is to manage the team to maximise what he has at his disposal. Wingbacks are vital to his preferred system, but we don’t have very capable player in those positions - so he must manage the situation.

We’ve been crying out for a change in approach - be it moving to a back four to mitigate the fullback-wingback situation, and to inject some creativity into central areas - yet he’d rather bring Sanchez on for Sessegnon and keep three at the back, than bringing on Bergwijn and attacking the game.

These last three performances have been on him much more than the players IMO.
