One of the problems is you're supposed to attack the zone. Most of our players didn't move.
The zone was behind most of them and it's pretty much impossible to attack it going backwards.

They spoke about this after the game. Consensus seemed to be that someone should have taken charge and pointed out the situation. This is one of those things that once the game has started, managers can't do much about, Conte can't be expected to know where the Chelsea players are going to stand. A bit of leadership or taking of responsibility wouldn't have gone amiss there. Hopefully, it'll be mentioned when they analyse it.
Well yeah, we clearly defended it terribly. There were some who could've attacked it but misjudged the flight of the ball and got dragged into the wrong zone, and others who could've attacked it but didn't move. The zone was behind most of them and it's pretty much impossible to attack it going backwards.

Me personally. No problem with it, would be very harsh by the ref to send him off for that.We don't really have a problem with this, do we? Personally I think the game has been far to sanitized over the last few years. I want to see the characters and the passion. I want to know these people being paid a fortune care as much as we do.
Totally - if you are going zonal, you need a couple of mopping up playersI always felt you need a mix of zonal marking and man marking. You get players in the most dangerous areas and then the other players mark a player. If a player marks a zone around the penalty spot and the corner is played to the edge of the box that player should get out to close it down. I also think the back post should be marked as one of the zones. on front of the near post is typically Kane, then 2 at the 6 yard box (one near one far side), 1 penalty spot and 1 far post. Others can then mark a player.
They’re a horrible fan base but our rivalry is with Arsenal. Is anyone else a bit baffled about the Spurs Chelsea 'beef?'
They feel like a club looking for a rival to hate after they won the Oligarch lottery and they ended up choosing us by process of elimination principally in the last year as we now have their former coach!
I remember the Battle of the Bridge and the CL stuff of course but otherwise i feel nothing about them aside from a bit of 'regret' given how bad our recent record against them is.
Fulham are about a mile away aren't they? They’re a horrible fan base but our rivalry is with Arsenal.
Chelsea don’t really have any local rivals but they take a dislike to us for many politically incorrect reasons that have been raised far too many times.
I think Gandhi said it best

They’re local to them but not rivals, how could anybody have a rivalry with Fulham? They’re like an old uncle who gives you mint humbugs and tells you about the good old days.Fulham are about a mile away aren't they?
Here's a decent article on it
Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham: Spurs' problem zone, James' key role, and a controversial arm wrestle
The key talking points as Spurs twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Chelsea on a particularly heated afternoon at Stamford Bridge...theathletic.com
Take a look, the first three players are more or less out of the game if, as happened, the ball is an out swinging cross. It's a new system apparently, introduced by our set piece guru, so maybe the charitable opinion is that we'll get better at it
you need to watch that tactical video posted on the previous page before you make this comment. On a separate note, Conte needs to sort out the zonal marking. Koulibaly's goal was a frigging joke with most of our players on the near post and nobody covering the edge of the area at all.
I thought this was an interesting thread on the tactical battle between Conte and Tuchel and specifically how Chelsea set up to nullify our ball progression. I think Conte did well to adjust a couple times. Also, despite hurting our ball progression for the first 60-ish minutes, I don't think Chelsea did all that much to disrupt our defense or threaten much for a team with 70% possession at times.
If it's to do with his IG post then I doubt any more than a fine. Tuchel has a bigger problem for his comments about the ref.Ffs. How long is his ban gonna be.
I don't think that's what this FA charge is about. This breach of rule E3 is to do with after match media/social media that brings the game into disrepute.I really don’t see what Conte did wrong. Tuchel is the one who wouldn’t let go of his hand the cretin.
