So what does this mean? He'll be banned from a game later down the line? They probably have the ban pencilled in for 1st October.

Probably being optimistic but a suspended ban would seem reasonable to me.
But being 2nd game into the season, the FA will no doubt want to send a message.

I think there'll be many more dust-ups between benches this season; the edict to refs in terms of only blowing for clear and obvious fouls will lead to a load of frustration and arguments. The first row on Sunday actually came because Tuchel was berating the 4th official when Conte celebrated next to them.

Personally I think it's been a brilliant 'rule change' and players throwing themselves to the ground at the slightest touch will have to stop but there will be aggro on the touchline because of it.

A touchline ban is one of the possible sanctions and would be in place this weekend

Fair tbh. I'd have been annoyed if they were both given the same punishment as Tuchel was far and away the more blatant offender.

Tuchel should of been in the stands with a second yellow for his celebration. Can’t give Conte a ban for a scenario that shouldn’t of even happened. The salty Chelsea fans are absolutely unreal ??

I don’t think either of them deserved a red to be honest

Exactly, but think Tuchel got banned because of his run down the line although I see no issue personally

This kind of emotion and feistiness is what is so great about the PL and rivalries... no punches were thrown or eye gouging etc - so no issue from me with what happened.

Well I never - common sense prevails after all! (Also more Chelsea piss boiling on the back of the news - you love to see it!)

Tuchel said things about the red after. He deserves to be punished for that alone. Also I know it's a terrible rule, but he ran down the touchline which is against the rules so should be banned with a second yellow for that. He also instigated the handshake stuff at the end. Deserves one more than Conte. Glad common sense prevailed with Antonio.

They spoke about this after the game. Consensus seemed to be that someone should have taken charge and pointed out the situation. This is one of those things that once the game has started, managers can't do much about, Conte can't be expected to know where the Chelsea players are going to stand. A bit of leadership or taking of responsibility wouldn't have gone amiss there. Hopefully, it'll be mentioned when they analyse it.
Interesting and yea as you say Conte call still them within an inch of their lives but once the game is underway the players need to lead and adapt where needed.

I think Perisic could make a big difference with this once he starts starting regularly
