Apologies if already posted, but if not, give this podcast a listen. Conte from the POV of an Inter fan. I was already delighted with the appointment, but this has got me even more hyped! Nice job, Windy!

That bloke is well worth a listen too

We're doing the quadruple folks! And we're going to see Jerry springer fights along th4 way

Can't wait!

This feels big. This feels bigger than when Jose was announced. The same statute but with no-where near the same amount of baggage or divisiveness. Wow.

Remember no-one, least of all us, thought this was possible.

It feels like if we got Jose about 8 years sooner

Does anyone think Conte would be here without the stadium and training ground we have?
Nope. And thats the insane part. We have one of the best, if not the best, infrastructures in Europe. A state of the art, beautiful new stadium & a training ground that is top of its class that will only be expanding & improving in the coming years. The fact that the club on & off the pitch have not matched our facilities is absurd. Levy should be embarrassed by that. It’s about time he’s taken steps to turn that around. This finally feels like the start of something new at the club. And boy was this shot of life needed.

Well that escalated quickly.

If nothing else we’ll finally see an end to the interminable waffle and whine about ambition etc. on here, for a few weeks at least. Who knows what has happened since the summer – maybe we threw more money at him, acquiesced to each and every demand, Fabio got on bended knee and begged so much that in pity he eventually said yes, a couple of months out of the game watching it continue without him gave him the itch to get back into management, probably a bit of all of the above…. but in a limited field of candidates this is a major statement by the club to go out and get the one with the outstanding track record in the prime of his powers.

My personal opinion? I am looking forward to seeing what he can bring to us, keen to see him instil some intensity workrate and standards back into us and better tactical framework, and I like this appointment infinitely more than the last two jokers we appointed…. but…. Ridicule me all you want - like I ever give a fuck - I’ll freely admit given free choice it wouldn’t be who I’d appoint based on what I know of Conte and how he operates and sets up a team. I simply see football in a different way and like it played to a different taste. Not afraid to say that. I accept for most fans winning is largely all of the equation. For me it’s only part of it. And if it was up to me I’d go down a different route.

I also think you can’t avoid the questions as to whether Conte and Tottenham, and the parameters it operates under, will be a good fit or not. This will likely be a tinderbox with the potential to go off at any moment, but I also do think if he gets buy-in then Conte might enjoy working with us as the underdogs, coaching and polishing some gems, and moulding a side to take the others on. Basically what I’m saying is this could easily be 3 months or 3 years, and we shall find out…..

Ultimately, as with every manager, I’ll say what I always say. I’ll judge them on what I see served up on the pitch – regardless of whether we win, lose or draw. The bits I like I will praise, the bits I don’t like I won’t be afraid to criticise. And so on to the next one we go….

funny how the whole mood has changed. I was dreading the QF vs West Ham and didn't give us much hope given how we were playing and the form they're in.

now? Bring it on baby, bring it on

What can we expect starting line up wise? We know he likes three at the back, possibly a 3-1-4-2?
