Anyone who’s not panicking after 4/5 losses, regardless of what Conte has said, needs their head checking ?
Why? It’s obviously the players that are the issue. And we can’t change them until the summer. So complaining whining and worrying until then is futile.

Conte is a winner. He doesn't like losing. Hopefully that attitude gets into the players heads. The ones here and the ones yet to come. Love this man. Well said sir. Well said indeed.

Edit: because it is not right, even for these players, to lose 4 out of 5 and think everything can go on as normal. Not if we want to challenge.

If he quits now then it says far more about him than it does about the club.

if he quits in the summer because we haven’t backed him then we might as well fold the club and turn the stadium into flats.
Yup. Liquidation time is strictly for the summer. He will give it about a month of the window imo then decide. Paratici could do with securing some pre contracts.

I expected better results than we have gotten under Conte and by the sounds of it so did he.
While I don't agree with how he's going about it he is right, the coaches have changed while the players and the results havnt so it maybe it's not the coaches fault. Fact of the matter is we have too many players in the squad who just aren't good enough for top 6 clubs, we lack leadership on the pitch and some of our players have shown over last 5 years that mentally they are weak and quite often will fail to turn up and unfortunately I put some of our big name players into that bracket.

If Conte doesn't get the assurances that he will be backed in summer he will walk and so he should but he should also be looking at himself and his own ego as he has done an average job to date.

Let him go, this won't ever work. He wants new quality players and we don't have the funds for it. Incase you guys have all forgotten but we have a shiny new super expensive stadium that cost over a billion quid to build. Where is all this money coming from?

On top of it, he's frustrating because he's being impatient. Only one window has gone by and he has already thrown his toys out of the pram.

The football is dreary, his system doesn't suit the players and he never adapts his system. He wants shiny new toys and we can't afford them. Won't work, get rid.

I hear you but I disagree. Inter were in the same boat as us. An ok team but not challenging. Our budget is bigger than Inter. And bar one marquee signing (Lukaku) the rest were signings in our budget. He can change us, if we want him too.

Also, inter still doing well after he left. He improves teams.

One minute the players are the best he’s worked with and the next the same players “remain” lol

I think he knows we won't spend on the finished articles in the summer that's needed to really improve us.

Young players with potential isn't enough.

If Conte does leave, I think its time to let Kane go too.
Get a decent fee for him and pump it into the first team for the new manager.
Yes Kane is fabulous and you don't want to lose your best player, hes basically dragged us through the last couple of years, along with Son.
However, Kane is also part of the issue, we try to play a style that suits him and we can't get a second forward because he's a guaranteed starter! If he goes, money can be spent on a couple of new striker's and we can look to change the style of play going forward. No matter how much we love him, there's no denying that him dropping deep (understandably) effects our game going forward. When it works, it works really well! But it only tends to work against the teams that attack us, I have no doubt that we'll beat Leeds in our next game as they nothing but attack, therefore suiting our style of play. Unfortunately, these types of teams are few and far between.
If Conte stays and is backed, keep Kane and build around him. If Conte goes, let Kane follow and start a complete new refresh!

This is not a Kane bashing, he's by far our best player and wears his heart on his sleeve. This is just a realistic perspective on the current state of spurs as a club.

Having slept on it, it’s still concerning and not helpful

But he also could just be trying to get across that losing like this is totally unacceptable. The club seem to just be ok with it, fans aren’t, Conte isn’t.

He’s taking massive responsibility and basically saying to the players, this is so bad I feel like I should quit, but you ****s have been doing this for 3 or 4 years. Buck up or fuck off… if you don’t I’ll fuck off you pathetic bunch of shit faces

WBs are supposed to be the strength of his system but ours often just make us worse, we end up with 5 defenders and 1 or 2 attacking threats. Basically like Mourinho when he turned Bergwijn into a FB or similar role, and we have to rely on Son and Kane to be best finishers in Europe again.

Anyone have the stats from the last 6-7 games in terms of KMs covered, sprints, tackles per game, chances created..have the player levels dropped off or what the fuck is going on?

We've lost 6 of our last 10 games in all comps what a mess. Conte is not blameless here. Sure we lack quality but right now we don't have the players to play his system and he is not getting the best out of the players. Hate to say it but Mourinho was getting a hell of alot more from Kane, Son, Moura, Hojberg etc

The thing I can’t stand is the lazy comparisons. Yes we beat City but had to play a whole different style against Burnley on a cold wet and windy midweek. Same sport but two very very different games.

We lacked the creativity and quick movement of the ball to break them down and create enough clear chances.

It’s been one of our main failings over the past three years but we struggle to break down teams who are prepared to get physical and we lack the intensity going forward to force mistakes.
