Well when you have 1 more year left on the contract it's a reasonable question to ask

Not when they've asked this a million times, and his answer always has been "I need to talk to the board after the season first."

You reckon Conte would join a club where a player has more powert than he does?

I dont think so he will, but just a tad concerned but not overly. I still think he will sign a new contract perhaps another year extension or something

I know he's most likely just putting more pressure on the board to improve his bargaining position for new signings but it's a bit annoying to still be this coy on a day like today if he's not actually planning on leaving

Levy has a reputation and Conte is playing him at his own game.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Levy would rather Conte was on another relatively short contract. If he signs for five years and it all goes south, that would cost a fortune on his wages.
Low risk IMHO - he walks rather than gets sacked.

In this sense, it is not possible for us to have a better manager in world football. Not even Klopp or Pep, because Conte won't let himself be dictated to by the higher-ups. We really needed to get someone in who left Levy with nowhere to hide. Mourinho could have been that, but unfortunately didn't quite make the grade in terms of on-field performance.

You can see how much the players respect him with their body language when he is speaking.

Give him a contract and back him. This is the best chance we have ever had.
What did Pep do with an average sqaud?

We are on the cusp here boys we really are

The story is wrong

We where not fragmented due to Nuno it went wrong beck in poch time, to many bad signings, followed by no signing then more poor signings. Then 3 managers later the summer shit show, before Nuno was signed.
Signing managers who just don’t fit

We have wasted a shit tonne of money, we have to get the transfers right

Conte has put us back on track but our recruiting has to be spot on, and we need to clear out a lot of players

We spent 44 million on DS
30 million on Mo So
To many bad right backs signed and good ones sold.
To many players kept to long
Our shocking striker search
Out in ability to replace our midfield.

To be honest conte is a miracle worker

I think us fans are in a lucky position. Either Conte is backed by the club and we go on to great things, or Conte walks and then there can be no doubt that under Levy and ENIC, there is no real ambition to win things, it's simply to try and get CL whilst investing the bare minimum.

We will know either way this summer, there is no hiding place for Levy and the board.

How am I Levy bashing ffs? Can you actually point out the bit where I bash Levy? No thought not.

So you basically said, if Levy F's up, fans like me who love to bash him win. You also specifically went out of your way to reference past failures in a different post.

You do it your way. I'm gonna enjoy the end of an unexpectedly very good season.

Yeah it had been going wrong since the CL final season but Nuno, the absolute bellend, is the worst manager in clubs history and I include that **** Sherwood in there. What turn around by Conte, the absolute don.

I only bash Levy when he's made mistakes, I also give him credit when he deserves it. I was merely suggesting that IF Conte was to walk, it would show fans that there is a lack of ambition at the club, I also literally said I think the club will back him and we will show ambition, so I have no idea why you are moaning about my post.

100%.
One thing I found very interesting about Conte having known him from watching lots of Italian football Serie A and the national team, he said in an interview once that the key to being a world class manager is managing 4 things:
-Players/Squad motivation
-Players/Squad fitness
-Players/Squad tactics
-The media… to influence the fans and the board

The final point is the key one as he absolutely 100% knows what he’s doing with every interview he does, he’s meticulous and incredibly streetsmart as a football manager.

I really have no doubt he will be staying and he is just saying that to put the pressure on the board and Paratici etc to go and get him the players he needs this summer so we have at least a small chance of winning every competition we are in next season.

He’s also always said as long as he has a 5% chance at the title he is fine with that. Well let’s make sure we give him the squad for at least that and then he will absolutely be staying as our manager.

I think he and Paratici see Spurs as similar to when they joined Juve and Juve were 7th and had all the potential to be at the top but needed a world class DofF and Manager combination to transform things on the playing side, I think they’re both very excited by the challenge and as much as Conte especially will play things down, he’s no fool and he will know with the stadium and training ground and other revenue steams which will be coming in, now CL football, there aren’t many better places to be right now, with him and Paratici on board we are only going one way and that is up and up guys and gals.

COYS ?⚽️
