There is Forster as far as goalies go and if he isn't good enough to replace current Hugo why the fuck did Conte sanction signing him?

Because after our barnstorming run to the CL, Conte was offered Sam Johnstone or Fraser Forster to understudy a 36 year old goalkeeper.

Then Crystal Palace "out muscled" us for Sam Johnstone with the offer of no playing time and more money, and the choice was - OR Fraser Forster.

Beyond that maybe we'll bring back Pat Jennings on a pay as you play deal.

To dare is too dear.

i've gone on about errors already but it's all based on the system you play, the game is about them it's what got us the two goals to begin with. If you play a way to invite errors then that's a flawed system.
Whats the solution? Have everyone in our own box defending all game?

Exactly. And if he did, the same people would be slaughtering him for that.

All of this Conte stuff really is irrelevant bollocks which deflects away from the real issue and all the time he's sitting there, like Blofeld, looking down on us and laughing whilst stroking addons, the club cat
Addons, the club cat ?

Of course. But he can't say that

Exactly, not going to fully throw his side under the bus, but you can see the frustrations coming out

9th richest club in the world. He went to Inter said this is who I want, this is who I don't - and has trophies by the next season. Blows my mind that we couldn't even attempt that with him here.

My only hope now is that we don't go for another "top 4" chasing manager - blow it the F up and build from the ground or throw some money at it

People blaming the players is understandable because they did cost us roday and I thought the approach was decent (tried a man oriented press). However, I have little sympathy for Conte because he gave Lloris a new deal, requested Perisic, signed Lenglet and rates Dier highly.
Maybe he wasn’t given the option to buy a new GK, 2CD and a LWB. I’m not a big fan of Conte’s tactics but what is Conte going to say “Dier isn’t good enough and i don’t like him”. No he’s going to big him up publicly to try end encourage him until he is given the money to replace him. Perisic was on a free and Langlet was a loan. Also Peresic has 8 assists this season, our most, so he’s hardly a complete failure even if he was shocking tonight. I’m sure Conte would have jumped at a chance to replace all those players with quality players but I get very much doubt he was.

There are plenty of things one can say against Conte but blaming him for our mostly diabolical squad isn’t really fair imo.

Seems desperate to improve the club in the interview. Just isn’t being listened to.. definitely doesn’t sound like a man ready to Chuck it in

He going in.

Hes fucking right....again.

Imagine buying Skriniar and Bonucci. Or some equivalents.

You would see a defence stand up. Sure from time to time a mistake would be made but they'd not make another for some time after cause thats what players of that level dont do.

And Davies mate, don't leave out the Welsh boy. ?

In all seriousness Romero is the only one of our back 5 at the required level.
Yes Romero the only one worth keeping at the back. I would play Peresic in Sons position from now on, where he plays for Croatia.

Quotes again signifying he is getting frustrated and is aiming pot shots at Levy. The wheels are coming off.

Bissouma also hasn’t been played next to Bentancur I think?

Would like them to be given a chance as PEH too sloppy.
Sick looking at PEh, with his sideways or backwards passing, actually applauded a backwards pass tonight, offers little to nothing going forward and is too slow in the transition, Bentantcur has been making him look good for a while now.

The fact he’s still here and hasn’t resigned suggests to me he knows there’s investment coming (QSI) and is holding out until that day arrives, as once it does he can start to get the players he wants.

Otherwise I honestly think he would have left by now. He’s no fool and has proved in the past that if he’s not going to be backed, he won’t hang about.
