I guess this means Conte will leave in the summer. As ITK said, this window will decide if he is backed or not and it's obvious Levy haven't backed him...

Most likely scenario alright, almost certainty Danjuma was not a Conte target, in fact was he even one of our targets or a Levy bargain bucket deal. Porro is a step in right direction , but doubt it's enough. Problem is if things do not turn around Kane likely to follow Conte out the door, which might suit Levy, as he will get able to cash in at his last chance to do so. Sick to my eye teeth of their lack ambition to kick on to the next level.

I'm firmly in team Conte but I have to admit when I looked at our team last night even without kane/richarlison I thought, "Conte should be doing better with this". Whether the issue is the players/him/Levy, we shouldn't be struggling as much I feel
It's both. Levy being good usual not sign anyone self but Conte is setting us up like we would barely stay up, yet there are very few players he would want outside the top 6 teams.

Because it doesn’t fit into his “Conte is shit”narrative.

We go away and comfortably beat a Championship side, keep a clean sheet, Son score a couple of wonder goals and Danjuma gets debut goal.

Yet we still have fans bitching and moaning about our performance, which then start to suggest that it isn’t constructive criticism but simply a jaundiced view.
That's interesting cos when players have done well, like Gil earlier this season, the general response was "it's only....". It applies both ways.

Personally I look at is a confidence booster but you have to actually build on it

Everyone saying cb’s and gk now to sort in the summer. Well more likely no CL no conte and potentially no Kane. Sort that mess out Levy cause FP is banned

I just don’t think this is the case. Seems all the noise is about his personal situation after a really tough 6 months of losses and away from his family. Sounds like he’s re-evaluating whether he wants to be a football manager in England right now, not whether he’s going to leave because he feels like he isn’t being backed.

I’m sure if he was willing to commit longer term, there would have been more $ available.

Levy (and our comically shady sporting director getting convicted) must bear the lion’s share of the blame for the transfer window.

On the other hand - when your manager is playing some of the most rigid, turgid football in the Premier League, refusing to use his recent young signings like Gil and Spence unless forced, and openly casting doubt over his long term future at the club. It can’t fucking HELP attract players can it?

Looking forward to Conte's post match comments coming up this month.

We all know how this will pan out...

Let's see now the window closes, i'm sure he would have hoped for more but a proper starter at RWB and a replacement for Moura ain't too bad.

Felt there been a lift in team since Fulham game and Porro just might add a new fresh spark/drive to take us to end of season.

We are sitting in an nice position and if we put a run together like last year we could get into that top 4 and good cup run. Be special if we could manage to win FA cup. Might help convince Antonio & Harry to keep the faith. To Dare is to Do.

If we lose one or both at end of year baldy can fuck off too.

Well the team is the team now, we have to hope that the wing backs truly hold the key to everything now that it's reasonably balanced.

I've happy as always to commit 100% to the delusional optimism that we're gonna have a wild 6 months and do the cup double. Beyond that I think this is a team being built for the next man at the helm and once again we delay our hope for gratification until the next window for when we sign the players needed. I don't think we're as far off as people think. We've got a great set of midfielders, wingbacks and most of what we need in forwards, we've done 3 windows of heavy lifting to where we now need the final components of a strong first team in terms of a goalkeeper and two cb's along with a couple of complimentary players uptop but I think we can be dissappointed we were not aggressive about it this window.

Doubt Antonio said get rid of Doherty and keep Emerson. Nobody wanted Emerson and we made a balls of the loan rules with Pedro so we had make room.
How did we make a balls up with porro? It was the limit on outgoing loans.

Thr majority of games, conte ambassador favoured Emerson. I sincerely doubt we have terminated anyones contract without conte agreeing.
