Just fucking let him go, I said it before, this is the perfect opportunity to spin it as a mutual agreement due to health reasons.

Pay him, let him get better and we can start to look to the future, it's so obvious he won't be here in the summer, we're just delaying the inevitable.
The "Fucking" element of your comment wasn't actually needed.

For the betterment of Conte and for the future of the club - best thing would be to a mutual parting of the ways now. Everyone wins. Conte needs time to get better, keeps his reputation. Spurs need a new fresh approach but save face without a sacking.

I'd agree but only if we have the next guy lined up ready to go now, and we are intending to build with him and have a plan of how to do so. I know it's not been great of late, but at the same time I do not want us to be pinning our remaining season hopes on Ryan Mason again. That's not a slight on Mason btw, it's just too soon for him.

Let the conspiracy theories commence!

New syrup?

Seriously though *it’s 17 yrs since my fucked up gangrenous appendix op, took me 4/5 years and a second op and I’m still not 100% mentally and physically.
External factors/ deaths/ family / all take their toll and the sum of it all can crush people’s minds and bodies

*EDIT - 17 years ago TODAY I went in - ouch LOL

This could be a good thing.

The squad looks happier without the pressure of the boss being there right now so this could buy us time.

If possible I'd love to stay in the race for everything and make any decisions after Paraticis appeal.

I agree. I don't think that any of our targets are willing to start until the summer (including Poch), otherwise we probably would have relieved him of his duties by now with a mutual termination

Hope he get the rest of the season off to be honest. He needs it. And we're in good hands with Stellini, maybe it will work as a test run for him

How long before "We have mutually agreed to terminate Antonio's contract as he takes the time needed to recover. Ryan Mason will assume first team duties for the remainder of the season. We wish Antonio well."?

I heard this morning that Poch has been contacted by both Leeds and Southampton over the last couple of weeks and flat out wasn't interested in either, one of which offered him a contract until the end of the season.

Whether that means he's not interested in taking a team in a relegation scrap, not willing to take any team mid season, or all ready has something lined up is anyone's guess, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't the latter tbh.

Lol do you realise how bad the optics would be on that…. You would leave yourself open to severe employment issues

In my experience from normal work, once you check out mentally for various reasons, it is very difficult to check back in again. I have found myself changing scenery or having a long rest to get back into the groove but again that ends up being a new job.

You have to feel sorry for Conte for what he has gone through. His top 4 finish last season will be one of our best top 4 finishes so he has done a good job. I just hope he gets a good rest, either comesback recharged next season or tries somewhere else. I wish him well.

It's all about reputation management now. Levy and Conte will both be happy with that outcome or him saying at end of season he wants to go back to Italy given the tough year he's had (which is undeniably true).
Conte can walk away saying only reason he failed this season was because of everything he went through and too tough on him to continue and Levy spins it that Conte wasn't the 3rd poor appointment in 4 years.

There’s no benefit taking either of those jobs unless they offered him stupid money - even just for 6 months.

He can’t just sit tight until the end of the season when better jobs will crop up.

I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t come back before the end of the season. You don’t pay someone over £1m a month to recover in another country.

Saying that, this is Tottenham so who knows. There should be a mutual parting now but it seems Levy is hellbent on having yet another caretaker manager waste the remainder of this season when we still have top 4 within our grasp and an FA Cup run campaign which is heavily swaying in our favour.
