Depends on the developments really.

If we say, lose Berbatov & keane but buy Arshavin & Bentley I'd expect us to do equally as well. I'm hoping for a strong top 5 finish & I think if our plans come to fruition then we are more than capable.

With so many changes on the cards I reckon it will be difficult to finish top four now. I would take top 6 any day of the week and hopefully a final in one of the three cups.

A league win against Arsenal would be nice too.

I think we need to beat Liverpool, Chelsea, Ar5ena1 and Man u at least once each next season. Preferably two of those wins being away wins.

Would be happy with a double over ar5ena1. A win at Old trafford thanks to a controversial penalty awarded to us and a victory against Liverpool at Anfield.

In an ideal world, i would like Spurs to win the premier league next season but if that doesn't happen, i would be happy for Chelsea to take the title because i can't see us competing against Chelsea whilst Abrahamovic is around.

Until all our transfer dealings are done and dusted, I think 4th to 6th is where we will end up, and I think we should focus on getting to the semi's of the Uefa cup at least

If we were to acquire all of those in your dream team and they all stayed fit the whole season, I would have expected us to challenge for the title. :-|

Well after my successful summer prognostications of last year, I am simply too confused ATM to make a sensible shot at where we roughly stand and what we need-

As usual I won't be making my official prediction till one game after the window shuts - I just think it you predict pre-season you are so likely to be way off beam - see some of the comments on this thread alone :)

But I can't even get a handle on the current situ - anything from 5th to 15th seems perfectly feasible ATM

I'll feel a lot more confident about a summer assessment after we've played Norwich and I've had a chance to watch some of the 'new Spurs' anyway

Whatever happens with ins and outs this window, I fully expect us to put up a good fight for 4th place and secure at least a UEFA Cup place via the league.

I have told everyone I know that we will win the league...

by the end of August. It's a banker.

No pressure lads, just need 90 points from 3 games.

If Ledley King and Woodgate (with Gomes in goal) are fit for the majority of the season (Prem games) I predict a top 3 finish.

IMHO- King in the team, would have a greater influence on us finishing higher in the league, than both Keane and Berbatov.

I think I still wait before making any expectations for the coming season. The transfer markets have been quite calm in overall, so something must be happening before the league starts...

i second that notion...

having king fit all season would be like our "signing of the summer"

based on the belief we'll sign another player or two or three, i think we'll challenge for 4th and get 3rd

we're having almost a fresh overhaul of the team as highlighted in the other thread, and with ramos at the the helm of new, confident players who aren't used to losing to the top 4 and struggling away from home, mentally we'll kick arse and our squad is almost second to none

Europe will satisfy me, through league place, anything else such as a cup win will be an obvious bonus, and something to build on for next season, where we will be able to attract better footballers, all the above is under the heading of "Hopeful"!

Just my opinion, but I think that the couple of people who have suggested that we'll finish 3rd (!!!) are completely out of their tree. I wouldn't like to make my own guess before September 1st when we can see who'll be playing in Lilywhite for 2008/09, but I can predict now that 4th would be the VERY best we could hope to achieve this year, regardless of who we sign between now and September... and 4th would still be a very long shot indeed, IMO.
