Maybe the journo's research consisted of a youtube video where he's up for a corner and scores. Real in depth stuff.

The link in the OP contained this as the last para...

Another player that Palermo are holding talks with on a contract extension is young superstar Paulo Dybala. The Argentine forward has been linked with a move to Ars**** in the past couple of weeks and has been labelled the new Lionel Messi in the Italian media. Dybala’s contract expires June 2016 and the Italian club want to extend this until 2018. Dybala along with Munoz are vital to the Palermo squad and the club’s board will do all they can to keep them in Sicily.

If you were either of those players, would you take the risk of leaving??? :stop:

Dybala's popping up with goals here there and everywhere, and plays in a position we're desperately short of quality, yet we manage to get linked with his no frills teammate.

Seeing the inaccuracies in the story would it be wide of the mark to think they are referring to Ponce.....

Position we need? Check.
Young? Check.
Argentine? Check.
Contract up in 6 months? Check.
Agent says he's looking to move abroad? Check.
Pulled out of lineup in an important game in spite of being their top defender and the team playing 5 at the back? Check.

Decent amount of smoke with this one, and ticks all the right boxes. Seems more likely than Moreno, about whom we have heard almost nothing all window.

The contract issue seems to be the common denominator. Recent links, Munoz, Ings, Ayew, Konoplyanka all out of contract this summer. Delph also was, but obviously now re-signed at Villa.

Are you trying to say our beloved owner is a little tight with money?! ;)

Just making an observation.
To be honest, if the calibre of player is right, and the management team are firmly of the belief they'll fit the style of the team and culture of the squad, then I don't care whether they're free, 20p, £20 or £20m. Has to be a player Pochettino wants and believes he can get to improve the squad.
