Simple question, are you going to be watching the final of the FA Cup with the glorious Hull taking on the detestable Woolwich or what I'm calling the La Liga final between Barça and Atléti?

I'll be watching La Liga, I can't remember the last FA Cup final I watched live.

Why is the la liga weekend playing on two different days

They (FA) leave everything to the last minute.

Normally they play it one day but they have decided to play relegation games on one day and title play off on another. Then Real madrid at a different time all to make the most money perhaps

Barca v Atleti should be a great match as Barca have to win meaning if they don't score early they'll have to start chasing the game which should make for a great spectacle.

Unfortunately I suspect the Woolwich will win easily so I won't want to watch that. But if I find out Hull are winning in the 90th minute, I'll definitely switch over to see Wenger's face at the final whistle.

I think I'll watch the Spanish game, but I'm quite interested to see how Jake and the Hudd get on. Can't risk my son being impressed if Arsenal won though.

La Liga for me. Obviously desperate for Arsenal to lose but hate seeing the FA Cup cheapened further by Hull winning it.

Why would Hull winning it cheapen it?

Because they are nowhere near the best team in the competition. I like the fairy tale aspect of the FA Cup but you need the better teams to be winning it more often than not. Portsmouth, Wigan and Hull winning in recent years demonstrates its decline for me.

If they win it then they're the best team in it.

The big teams have more than enough in their locker to win the cups with their huge squads so they can have no excuses.

I hope Hull thrash them.

I agree no excuses but just demonstrates the big teams don't take it as seriously. Its no coincidence the League Cup is more commonly won by the crapper teams even though all the big teams are in it.

I'll be doing far better things than watching tv on a hot weekend (probably involving the coast and a lot of beer), but I would always choose the FA cup final over some other countries league match, no matter what the stakes of it are. Call me an old romanticist but it's the FA Cup innit.

And the League Cup has been won by both Manchesters, Chelsea and even Spurs in recent years... and teams like Sunderland were beating top clubs like Arsenal 40 years ago, so I don't subscribe to this cheapening of the tournament cobblers.

Isn't the FA Cup final at three and La Liga at five?
