Motson and Lawrenson are the worst commentators I've ever heard. They can't keep up with anything that's going on.

Made me chuckle when Motson tried to say "Diarra" and went "Da, Da, Da, oh".

Dixon's no better - I swear he's just said "Harry's got them back to being a big team".

When were they ever a big team.

Awful to see that disloyal piece of shit lift the cup.

Was sat in front of the tattooed fan - racist, foul mouthed bloke on tour in Europe. Oh dear.

Still, better that than a Welsh team representing the English FA.

Well done Pedro.

He deserves it. Quality player. Rescued them from relegation a couple of seasons ago.

Before this final I'd seen every minute of every one since 1995 but the streak was broken today. Doesn't look like I missed much either.

But congrats to Pompey.

first cup final I'v watched in years - wanted Cardiff to win because Pompey's win does mean, as someone has said, that Pompey have now had a more successful season than us

the good news though is that historically it puts them level with Hammers at 4 trophies, and as theirs are higher quality pushes poor ole West Ham even further down the pecking order :)

Pompey though are a boring team and not good for football - but I don't begrudge them their day of glory and that crazy fan of theirs I'm well pleased for him - he deserves a medal and it's fans like him that make football such a great game

I watched every minute of the match but as soon as it was over I turned off
so as not to see Judas lifting a pot.

Im actually pleased for pompey (and by the looks of it Im the only one too!).

Just think they do things the right way, I like Redknapp, they've got some decent talent with the likes of Kranjcar and Mendes.

Its also refreshing to see two trophies not won by the big four.

Worst FA Cup for a long time. I can say without a doubt that the Carling Cup was much better and meant so much more than the FA Cup this season, and sure that's easy for a Tottenham fan to say, but let's just compare the Semi-Finals of each Cup...

Carling Cup
Chelsea v Everton
Tottenham v Arsenal

FA Cup
Barnsley v Cardiff
West Brom v Portsmouth

Why the fuck would you be happy for Portsmouth? The only person I'm happy for is Redknapp, the rest can go fuck themselves (barring Defoe, but technically he won nothing).

On a positive note it remains the fact that Arsenal are the only team to lose a cup final
to a "foreign" i.e., non-English team (Cardiff)

Whats your point? Barnsley beat Liverpool and Chelsea to get to that semi final, and Portsmouth had to go to Old Trafford and win. Are you saying it would have been more meaningful if Man Utd had been playing?

What about Mendes?

Mendes I was chuffed for. Likewise most of their other players. Campbell, well, obviously I felt arse-raped as his Judas lips touched that magical trophy. But what I don't understand is all the plaudits for 'Appy 'Arry.

You do realise the man is corrupt and a cheating, back-hand taking lowlife who has bent rules and dodged his way around the football world at every corner, but has Sky and the media in his pocket and they portray him as some cheeky Cockney loveable rogue? I mean, the man's a fucking crook.

Anyway, if that doesn't bother you fair enough.

I know you all just love it when I name drop, so I watched the game with David May and Michael Thomas (who I am delighted to report admitted to being 'this much Spurs' indicating his left arm. Apparently he just loved watching Ardiles, Hoddle and Villa and he'll always have a soft spot for us, which is jolly decent of him, given his dirty Goon playing past). We all agreed it was the shittest season for the FA Cup we could remember and the final was almost as bad as last season. May, who I hadn't realised that I'd seen play in his 2 finals live, hoped that next season the managers who played weakened sides would learn their lesson while the big sides gave it a proper run and it was possible that next years competition would be the best for ages. Mikey (yeah, I know) said that wouldn't be hard.

Sadly, while we had a fun day, watching some expat footy and playing a bit of simulator golf, they knew absolutely nothing ITK. Thomas didn't even know who half the bloody Pompey players were, let alone Aaron Ramsey or the Cardiff Boys. I had at least expected some kind of tips or hints on who we'd buy. Especially as Thomas' last commitment in the UK was The Cesc Fabregas Show, which I was disappointed to learn isn't like The Benny Hill Show, whereby Arsene Wenger chases the teenager around a garden very quickly, pinching at his bottom while a trumpet plays.
