Pulled off some of the best saves I've ever seen.
The one against van persie at whl from a free kick was nigh on impossible and won us that match.
Good luck octopus

One of the best shot stoppers I've ever seen

Such a shame his all round goal keeping was such a let down.

Comes across as a decent bloke and I wish him luck for the future.

When he was on his game mentally, he was damn good.

Sounds like a thoroughly decent guy too so all the best!

I hope he gets picked up by someone. I am sure there are a few clubs in Brazil interested in him.

Does anyone know if there are highlights of that game vs Arsenal on the Internet somewhere, with his saves in it? Absolutely incredible at the end.

Not sure which one was my favourite...

Things obviously didn't go as well for him at Spurs as he would have liked but the last two "gaffes" in that video are unfair!

First one wasn't a goalkeeping error. Would have taken an outstanding save to keep it out. Second one didn't go over the line.

I prefer to remember him for being a top bloke (who, among other things, greatly helped Sandro to settle) and for crucial saves like the two against Arsenal in April 2010 (that helped to secure CL qualification) and this:

Such a shame, had the skills to be a top, top keeper.
Would have been playing at the WC this year if he'd left last season....

What always confused me about him was that he used to be a striker, apparently, yet couldn't kick the ball.

One of the best reaction shotstoppers I've ever seen, sadly lacking in other areas that are important over here.

Best of luck to him.

I'll remember one of the best rants ever about him...something like "he's not an octopus, he's only got 2 arms and they're not that long!"

Love Gomes. All the best to you. Some cracking saves and that performance away to Milan..wow.

Take care.

Will always hold a special memory in my heart for juggling the ball around the box after saving a penalty vs Blackpool.

Don't think I've ever laughed so much at Spurs giving away a penalty. Thanks Gomes

Some painfully hilarious moments, but his performance against Arsenal at the Lane that night was one of the best goal keeping displays I've ever seen.

Even RVP was looking on in disbelief.

Good luck Heurelho! People easily forget how vital he was for us at tines. I remember when we only conceded something like 12 goals at the lane one season?!

Hope after he hangs up the gloves he enjoys that Farm he's always wanted in Brasil haha
