Their fervent live following would disagree. They may trade bootlegs of seminal Glenn and Chris gigs: supporting Marillion at Aylesbury Friars, their acoustic set at the Wolverhampton Civic or the epic all-day headlining performance at Weltanschaung Naturisch Festival in Lower Saxony. There are even a few VHS recordings, changing hands among the cognoscenti for insane prices. But they all insist that there's absolutely no substitute for having been there.
i thought they were like Nick Drake and that no live recordings were ever found and were an urban myth

It's difficult to disentangle myth and legend from disinformation when it comes to situationist post-power-pop pranksters like Glenn and Chris.

I hope they at least officially announce the times early on this week, I've got to go home and then get to Gatwick after.

I know I've been waiting before I book my train home what's so marvellous they couldn't announce it?

It's true that Sky are broadcasting until 8pm (link), so that's almost 2hrs post final whistle, although allegedly it's going on until 10pm. Hopefully the club will announce it soon, there's little reason to wait now.

do you think shes not a supporter or not an actual "fan"?

I'm not calling her plastic, I don't think she's a fan. She's from Tottenham and called her dog Lennon but apart from that I think it's conjecture. Having said that, after I wrote the original message I did see a photo of her holding a Spurs flag at one of her concerts but someone could have given it to her. AFAIK she's never been to a game or spoken about being a fan, unlike say Adam Richman or Marina Sirtis

In all likelihood she's probably only got a passing interest in football but comes from a Spurs family. I thought I saw a report of her asking for the result of a big game we were playing to be passed on to her whilst she was on stage. But I may be mistaken.

And what's also important, I think, is that this is not just about the end of the stadium, it's about the rebirth of Tottenham the area. And she is a true local girl, and the most successful and famous product of the area, so it's a nice synergy.

Get well soon Chas (and Aaron and Greavsie)!

I think if Adele was willing to do it, and I don't think she's a fan despite what people think, she'd be saved for the opening of the new stadium rather than the closing ceremony.

She was at Wembley to see us lose to Chelsea in the final of the League cup a couple of years ago.

Shame that Gazza has said he won't be going on Sunday. Totally understand why it'd be too much for him right now, but would have been lovely to see him on that old pitch one more time.

this link suggest the ceremony/finale will finish a lot earlier than the 10pm rumours (7.05 in fact)

Where did you get that? So they're going to have a 35min break before actually starting the ceremony? I guess that's so anyone who needs the loo and food/drink can take care of that and the players can get washed and changed

found it on another forum. Can't see anyone bothering to mock up a timetable for the farewell that actually seems pretty accurate

Not disputing the authenticity but 25 minutes seems an awfully short amount of time to get through 60 players/ managers as well as any other types of celebrations. That would give us about 25 seconds per guest, not accounting for anything else!

Makes sense but i don't think they interviewed each player/manager at the 125th anniversary game (i might be wrong) and also they may introduce groups of players together (double winners, 84 Uefa cup etc).

No one really knows what is planned (except those involved) but I cant imagine it going on much later than 7/7.30
