Could say that about any one of the legends then, Keano/robbo etc

They chose to come, that's great, it was a wonderful send off. We don't need to bring negativity into it all by whining about who wasn't there, or who didn't tweet.

It's incredibly small time for a bunch of Spurs fans to be harassing Bale on twitter because he didn't tweet about us today. It's like commenting on an old girlfriends face book posts of her on holiday with her new boyfriend, to ask why she didn't turn up to watch you have one last shag in the bed you shared with her five years ago.

GareTh bale getting absolutely roasted on twitter for not even the slightest mention to us/the club today! All justified in my opinion too, helped make him what he is, and nothing! Poor form!

Doesn't bother me personally, but I remember reading a few years back that Bale wanted to tweet us well wishes in the League Cup final v Chelsea (2015) but the agency who ran his Twitter account advised him against it. Could be the case here.

All his social media is run by his PR. Madrid won't let them to protect his brand and image rights.

Trust me Gareth's twitter is not even run by him, it's all by his PR agencies who like the protect brand bale. Anything he posts on any of his social media I think other than instagram is vetted.

Although there is a rumour doing the rounds that Gareth will be back in England next year and not to far away from the lane

I think it's a bit unrealistic to think he'll join Barnet, but you never know.

Close but no cigar

Can't be Arsenal.

A few years ago I worked with a family friend of Giggs and got some decent United-related ITK. They were heavily involved with his people.I still think that's the most likely destination if he comes back to the Prem.

Anyone else get a souvenir? My brother got two seats. I wasn't going to bother as we don't have st or sit in Paxton usually but I'm glad he bothered! Saw a bloke get the ketchup and condiment tray
My dickhead brother managed to take down half an AIA advertising board and just stand with it on the tube home, it must be about 2 metres tall stood up. Fuck knows what he's going to do with it, in our front room is just a massive sign that says "The Real Life Company"

Managed to get a couple of seats too. Not sure what I'll do with it but nice to have a memento I guess

:ROFLMAO: I can just picture him stood on the tube looking sheepish while you glare at him asking wtf he's going to do with it.

You'd be surprised,

Look out for brand bale coming to a town near you soon has a very clever team working with him investing a lot of what he earns into some strange projects.

I thought it would be corny or cheesy, especially as they started rolling out the speakers and giant sized party poppers, but I got quite emotional seeing the more senior players who I grew up only hearing about and then seeing the players I idolised as a teenager.

Well done for putting it together. Loved it.

A spurs fan on twitter said that the keys were handed over at 2200 but ive seen no journo say it or the club. But levy said the keys will be handed over right after the ceremony so they can start demolition on Monday AM at the THST meeting

Had a little tear as I walked up the stairs to my seat for the last time. The flags and chorus of "glory glory hallelujah" brought a chill. Was absolutely fine until five minutes ago, when I walked in the front door and completely lost it. In the words of Micky Hazard, the lane will always be my place of worship! What an incredible day!! COYS!

He'll be at United next season and I'll be honest, I dont know if I can forgive him for it. I'll be bloody well pissed off. Hope Levy stuck a huge sell on fee on there and I hope we fucking smash them to bits next season.

There was genuinely a queue of vans and trucks outside the stadium at about 9pm tonight with workers ready to go in-he doesn't hang about Levy!!

What a read and as classy as we were today. I watched it on stream and was doing ok until Hoddle was introduced to the fans and when my wife said "why do they love him so much?" The tears flowed. I managed to get out "he's simply the best and one of our own"

To the fans who sang all match long and afterwards, a big thanks, you did our club proud.

Fuck! I love this club, this team and this management, the best since Keith Burkinshaw's days. Shame he wasn't there, would have been the cherry on the icing on the cake.

Of all the examples of random and pointless stuff to nick as a memento, I think I can beat them all when I saw two lads walking down the High Road after the game, singing at the top of their voices and manically waving the sign for the ladies toilets proudly in the air, cracked me up, should've got a picture :ROFLMAO:
