He didn't have a great game today. But no one did. They all looked very nervous and for the most part, clueless.

Poch didn't help him out by sticking him against pace merchants when he was expecting Crouch (only reason to bench Vertonghen that I can think of).

It's also not easy playing alongside our worst player (and captain).

He's proven himself in Spain and Europe. Bad day for him, but it was a bad day for just about everyone. He could be good for us.

Dreadful today but not helped by playing with 10 other morons as well. He's the kind of player you need to blood in when you're playing well as he is going to make some mistakes to start with.
