He's left sided apparently though which is a shame.
Can play both right & left side CB apparently.

Good cover for Vertonghen.
I am assuming Poch likes a left foot and right foot combo.
1st choice - Vertonghen and Kaboul
2nd choice - Fazio and Chiriches/Dier
The only positive of it happening before the window closes is that if it is a serious injury, there is no way they will let a top striker go to Arsenal. Abramovich would steal him in an instant.I hope those rumors are true. I just wish it could have happened on Tuesday.
I don`t think Fazio has come to Spurs to be 2nd choice to anyone.
It'll be interesting to see how quickly he gets into the team.
Given that our first choice was probably Moreno, then Lovren, then Mussachio, I wonder how close to Poch's ideal CB Fazio actually is. Given his biggest downside appears to be his lack of pace.
I`d say Sunday against Liverpool.
I dunno. Considering Poch won't let Vorm even be backup keeper in the Europa League yet, I can't see him chucking Fazio into his debut against Liverpool when he doesn't even know all his team mates names.
Terry Gibson on twitter...
"Also delighted with the Fazio signing for @SpursOfficial fantastic signing at that price. Big loss for @SevillaFC_en.
My brief on Fazio. Big, strong, aggressive & became the defensive leader at Sevilla. Decent on the ball, started at Sevilla as C mid.
At 6ft 4 he is not grease lightning but his positional play has matured at Sevilla over the last couple of seasons. Played with the better partner he will be an asset. @SpursOfficial fans will love his attitude. Compared to what other c halves have cost this summer a steal."
From everything I've read Fazio sounds like a combination of Dawson a few years ago and Kaboul. Which is a good thing imo as I'm a believer in one physically dominant CB and one ball playing CB.
The only worry is whether he can adapt to the pace of the PL, bearing in mind he's been playing in La Liga for some time. We'll find out soon.
From what i've heard he'll be way better than Kaboul.Good cover for Vertonghen.

Can't be that combination. Kaboul of 3 years ago had so much speed.

Nope.
In training photos every few days.
Poch hasn't put him in the qualifying squad, because he needs to be on a 'personal fitness regime' to get him up to speed. Which surprised me, because he's just a goalkeeper. But I suppose it shows Poch's eye for detail.

Cover? LOL.
He was number 3 (IMO) on a list of partners to JV. He's going to be a starter eventually, I have no doubts (unless Kaboul miraculously becomes incredible again)What so funny about the idea of him being cover? He was number 4 on the list
