Maybe my post was also taken out of context. For years we have had snippets about Llorente and Spurs. I genuinely think we have been interested in the past and when the chance actually came to buy him at a seemingly good price we dived right in. It could of worked and no one was complaining too much 6 months ago - shrewd bit of business etc. It wasn’t actually an OTT price in an increasing market imo, but the guy isn’t the type of footballer we actually needed as far as I’m concerned (hindsight etc). Could have worked but didn’t. My own opinion now is get rid if we have the chance and buy a genuine younger prospect like the guy from Hamburg.

Looking back, would have been interesting to see what Nacer Chadli could have done in a role as a backup striker. Had a decent scoring record for us and for me always had the build to be an efficient striker...can play wide too...I like J Rod too but WBA would not sell him now he is in form!

Meyer makes "Spurs sense" with his expiring contract.
Beyond that... literally could be any player in the world who is German. Or Herc is being vague and it is any player in Germany. Either way we may find out tomorrow or we may never know.

Schurrle is the one that makes sense to me. Dortmond are offering him to PL clubs on loan, he can cover LW,RW and striker and Dortmond want us to release Llorente to Chelsea so they can get their man.

Edit - just read Hercules info and probably doesn't fit.
