I like the tournament idea and team quality - all should be on TV I reckon - however, please let there be no trouble

Well at least it is some half decent competition pre-season this year. That and the boot camp Ramos is planning and we should hopefully start the season far better next year.

Have to agree with that, a bit of competition pre-season might help us start the season with a bit more energy.

Anyone think that Ramos has had a hand in not having the squad sent to Korea or some other Far East destination on a "cash cow" pre-season tour ???

I would love to see the pre-season regime he gives them. If the Sevilla players went to training with gaffer tape on their mouths, god knows what our lot will end up doing when he is beasting them to within an inch of their lives..

The lack of competitive pre-season goes a long way to explain our poor start in 2007. The players appeared to lack match sharpness.

Let's hope in pre-season 2008 we have more games and better quality. This tournament is encouraging news.

You make a good point. We did have an awesome start and an awesome season altogether after winning the Peace Cup.

The funniest thing is I was just poking around an Ajax board to find out when the Amsterdam tourney was. They usually get good games and I want to get high. Perfect, right?

Turns out no....high, footie and Spurs.....I am THERE.

Hopefully I get to meet a few of you.

If you're expecting Rotterdam to be like Amsterdam, errmmm... don't

It's a pretty non-descript port city is it not? Kinda like going on holiday to Felixstowe

That might be the best description of Rotterdam that I have ever heard...not much to see there but the brothels and the train station, and the shoe cobbling academy (seriously, I know someone that graduated from there).
