I'm sure Iniesta missed quite a lot of football this year. He is a great player but if he beats Messi it is simply wrong.

Which would be wrong, because Messi has clearly been the best player this year. He scored the winning goal in the world cup, that is enough of an award for his year which hasn't been that stellar despite him being excellent.

Oh and the World Cup this year has been recognised by everyone for being poor. The quality of the football was crap and so you'd hope they'd take that into account.

I'd love any of the Barca trio to win it, they all deserve it.

I think Messi probably edges in terms of memorable performances this year although Xavi isn't far behind, he has been amazing.

I think it would be nice to see Xavi win it as I'd say it is his best time to win it (I'm sure Messi will win it again over the next 10 years or so, although he should watch out for a young lad called Gareth Bale)
