Physioroom.com is showing Kaboul as no return date. Ominous, as they also have that for Gomes and Kranjcar, who are out for the season.

That doesn't sound like a squad that some posters have touted as being good if not better than United, Arsenal and Chelsea. Now it is a pretty normal team isn't it? We can't really "change" it much because we simply do not have any options, we struggle to pick a bench week in week out and this is pathetic for a team who at Christmas were being touted as the "team" to challenge the two Manchester clubs to the title. How have we let ourselves get in this position?
Scott Parker on BBC Sport website just now -
"If we don't end up fourth, we will have failed as a squad. We've had a fantastic ride this year and we've dipped, that's obvious. Even our own manager is probably doubting us a little bit at the moment. Others (are), too, like our own fans."
That doesn't sound too healthy. I dunno if he's having a sly dig at the fans at the end or not.

the more ledley king is forced to play the better he will get.
As much as I'd love to agree, I can't see where the fuck you're coming from there... at all.
King is in his 30's, his knees are more fucked up than Dirk Kuyt's face, and he can physically only last about 60 minutes of a football match. It's not as if he's 19, has no experience of PL football and is just being thrown in at the deep end. He has the brains and the know-how, he just doesn't have the fitness.
That is what does it for me.
If our near misses we victories, we'd be so far ahead.
The penalty not given for a hand ball against Newcastle by Dabizas, but given against Campbell in a semi final (final against Champions Man U would have been us in Europe the following season).
The Lasagne-gate match, which would have seen us 4th and Arsenal 5th in their new stadium's first season.
The match against Portsmouth 2 years ago. The last day of the season when we took our foot off the gas when 3rd was still on the cards.
The Final of the League Cup against Man U in which we dominate but lose on penalties.
The collapse last season...
The collapse this season, from 3rd and F.A Cup favourites...
Time to go to bed and hope Levy acts and gets the project back on track.
Not sure not loaning out the likes of Charlie, Bassong and Pienaar would in itself have made much difference; they had all been pretty awful when called upon, and I am not sure any of them could have come in and made a difference at this point. They are playing well now because they have regular football and the belief of the manager and the crowd.

as long as harry seems to get it through his head that playing 4-3-3 is the way to go, i doubt we will be as terrible as we have been of late
Not sure clogging up the box is going to help a great deal.
