If they think they're getting him for less than E20m they're taking the piss.

Plenty of time left.
Here's hoping.

Given his reputation in Spain and performances at international level I'd hoped for solid interest from clubs who can, or will, offer something around our asking price by now.

I'd imagine there'll be plenty of interest. We're in an unusual situation where our business has been flying right from the start of the window, but for most nothing much happens til the last couple of weeks. We certainly don't need to be entertaining derisory offers right now.

Most clubs haven't done much business yet. Villarreal were reportedly willing to pay about €18m at the start of the window, so holding for €20m doesn't seem overly optimistic to me.

I hope we're offering him back to Betis. If we've still got money tied up paying off his signing that may be the easier way to get back maximum value.

Betis are in Europe next season and are pushing for a UCL spot. They are also looking to strengthen their attacking options.

I hate getting mugged off with these prices. But tbf people,,, it’s what we’ve done over the years. And what any club should be trying to do. Taking good players off of the big boys for bargain prices, as there surplus to requirements.

We are now in that pond of top clubs. And I for one absolutely love it.

For example.

Never before have I ever laughed off suggestions of Real Madrid coming in for Son, or Kane off to Bayern to replace lewandowski with such confidence. ,etc, etc

Or laughing off Depay as a Barcelona flop etc etc

So if this makes us a victim of our own success, or Conte, paraticinsnd levy’s success,, Then so be it

This one gets done late in the window for €20M as he is definitely worth that. Suitors we’re just hoping to get him on the cheap with AC and Levy looking to clear the decks.

We hold the cards when it comes to Lo Celso (and Winks & Reguilon) - there are multiple clubs interested so we can afford to wait for an acceptable fee. Also the longer the buyer leaves it, the less pre-season he gets with his new coach/team-mates.

Whilst clubs know he's not part of our plans, there are still 6 weeks to go in this window so I'm sure the club are relaxed.

There is no danger we'll get saddled with him, unlike Ndombele where we will have to take what we can get.

Absolute joke. Trying to bring down Lo Celso's price from 20 million Euros (£16.9 million). They might as well get the begging bowl.out.

They sold Vlahović for 75 million Euros plus add ons. They're taking the mick.
People keep saying this.

For years we operated on a model of looking for quality on a low budget and getting maximum value when players moved on.

The plus side of this is we got some great deals and didn’t hurt our financial future. The downside was sometimes missing out on targets.

It’s fair game to try this. They know if a better offer comes in they’ll miss out.
