Considering the players Spain had out I'm surprised they couldn't beat Egypt.

Egypt are dogged. Can see a lot of low scoring games with them.

France lost 4-1 to Mexico. Although, I've hardly heard of many from the French team. It was a great, open game to watch.

Australia beats Argentina for the first time in olympics.

Could have been a thumping really. Great start for the Olyroos

Nice goal finally for Brazil at the end there after only about a gazillion missed attempts. Honestly they should have won this game about 10-2 (no exaggeration). The finishing has been as shocking as I can remember for a team of this level. Germany though - utter garbage.

The argument has to be that if the foul is to be given it's a red for denial of a goalscoring opportunity.

But seriously wtf is that even a free kick for?

This is my point, there was no foul, the guy just threw himself to the floor so I don't know how the var ref thought it was a foul.

Cracking game between France and South Africa this morning ended up 4-3 to France SA missed a first half penalty and the giant Gignac scored a hat trick don't really understand why he plays in Mexico he strikes me as if he could do a job at a decent level in Europe
