Shame Macarthy didn't score that goal in the first half, it would have been nearly identical to the Villa goal and then Man City would have had to spend years seeing that replayed on TV

Try telling him that the FA Cup is a second rate competition that doesn't matter to anyone.

Fucking get in there Wigan.

The fact that they and Swansea are the trophy winners this year is absolutely brilliant in my mind. Totally restores my faith in football and is a great big "up yours" to the billionaires who think they can just buy success.

Proper chuffed.

This is why I'm hoping Dortmund does the job on Munich. Sure, they're a big club but their ethos is fantastic and they do it the right way.

Yep, definitely. Plus, I think this year may have to be the year for Dortmund before the vultures circle for their players and they have to rebuild. Bayern will just continue to get stronger (although I have the suspicion that Pep may take them backwards).

I'm absolutely delighted for Wigan, I thought Whelan leading them out was a lovely touch and the result was the one every football fan (barring city of couse) wanted.

Rob Green and Bosingwa...

were there ever a pair of slack jawed yokels that deserve the Championship more.

Tbh Newcastle haven't played well under pressure so if they do win perhaps they will play with a bit more freedom against arsenal. Pardew won't want to lose as he's still under pressure so will hopefully motivate the players to give a good last day performance

I don't know, still think Newcastle will cause problems to Arsenal regardless if safe or not. They may crumble under pressure of needing points so not sure which scenario is better.

The result as it stands puts unbelievable pressure on Wigan... To the point that I can envisage them drawing and throwing everyone forward in search of a win then conceding.

Definitely need Sunderland to win, that will keep them up and nothing to play for on the last day against Spurs.

Harry needs to get us something out of this game so Newcastle also have something to play for against Arsenal

Utd fans in good voice about Mancini

Wonder if they will still be singing if Mourinho takes over
