Perhaps one of you would be kind enough to provide Chris Foy with a week's all inclusive holiday over here in Guatemala.................I'll see to the rest while reporting to the local bill that an unfortunate mud slide buried the S.O.B, even though it's not been raining for the last two months.

That would be the most unpopular import since the Bubonic Plague

I have absolutely no problem with any playing going to ground in the box if they are, kicked, tripped, shoved, tugged, pulled, pushed or blocked.

Every single one of them is a penalty!

Just a point I noticed earlier and not sure if it has been mentioned already but wasn't Chris Foy the ref who AVB got in trouble for slating after a game? Not the first time this season he has hit the headlines over his decisions (or lack of).

And now Redknapp has been warned by the FA about his comments.

How predictable - and symptomatic of England these days. From afar, the country is seen by many people I know as somewhere where the "victims" get short shrift while the "perpetrators" get off scott free. Sadly, this Foy-Redknapp affair is a kind of an analogy of how cock-eyed English "society" has become.

I also hadn't realised that Foy was the ref for last season's game at Stoke, when he denied them that late equaliser when the ball crossed the line Eek

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Poll-Referees-turning-Christmas-Turkeys.html?

Pinky...as far as I am concerned, Gomes was clearly fouled in the build up and it was never conclusively proven that the ball had, in fact, crossed the line. Far too much is being made of this, as though it exonerates Foy for making 6 (or 7, if you count the Kaboul dismissal) match changing decisions, ranging from dismissive to bizarre, in favour of Stoke - plus a myriad of leser ones.

But Foy was also referee for this fixture last season; a game which Tottenham won 2-1 - but which had its own controversy. Foy was unable to see a Jon Walters effort clearly go over the goal-line for what would have been a late equaliser for Stoke. He accepted his mistake, apologising to Stoke manager Tony Pulis. So I was very surprised to see him appointed this time.

Could he have pushed last season's controversy out of his mind? I imagine someone with Stoke allegiance might have reminded him 'you owe us one'. It happens

Foy, born and bred in St Helens, which probably makes him a Liverpool or United fan...say no more!!

I find it hard (not impossible) to believe that Foy would let last year's game influence the outcome of the game at the weekend. However, I find it very easy to believe that the the FA would hire an incompetent buffoon.

I was watching sky sports at dinner time and they were looking at the stoke game from last weekend and the panel who were le tiss, merson, alan mac and charlie nich along with jeff stelling all agreed that foy had a nightmare of a game and that something should be done about it.fuck me merson even said that spurs second half performance was the best he had ever seen

Fuck, I really wish they repeated the Gillette soccer Saturday panel discussions before kick off. Am always interested in what they have to say.

He's an Everton fan, which he didn't admit until he'd actually officiated in one of their games

This should be disclosed before appointment...failure to do so, or deception should be a sacking offence.

The ref for Wigan/Chelsea wasn't great, either.
